Since the war on Hells Gate, and his near death experience Tsu’tey tended to keep more to himself than before. He’d go on solo hunts, walking in Eywa’s forests for hours at a time. Scars from the battle marred him, including the deep bullet wounds that had almost claimed his life. He remembered begging Jake to kill him, thinking he would die slowly from the bullets and saw the atorkirina gathering.
He listened to Jake, having given up his position of olo’eytukan to the avatar after seeing Eywa had chosen him as Toruk Makto and after how Jake saved the people in the battle. Jake was a better leader than him, and even though it stung his pride and made him bitter, he was always willing to act for the best of the clan. That meant stepping down as clan leader.
Tsu’tey hadn’t seen his ikran since the battle, and had decided he’d go looking for his mount. He was surprised by where he found his ikran. It was perched in the trees near the avatar compound Norman Spellman and Jake Sully used, he only knew this because he saw the human body of Norman. Growing intrigued the warrior moved closer, curious to see what Jake looked as a human. Neytiri had said he looked very much like himself, but that there was a startling difference.
He wanted to see that difference.
