When did we all unconsciously agree Wash has a close-cut with a yellow floof on top?

we didn’t, there’s tons of people who hc him as entirely blonde, and i’ve seen him 100% brunette, all in a variety of cuts. if i’m remembering my fandom history correctly, people originally had him pegged for brunette, but there’s a shot of him in ai class with bottle-blonde hair, so they compromised. did i get that right, @anneapocalypse ?
