find a cheapo cat brush for him and carry it with you when you're out. let him sniff it and rub his face against it before trying to brush him and see if he likes it. he might be very grateful to get those troublesome burrs out!

He might, I’m worried that he’ll get angry instead though. They’re pretty matted in. I’d need to cut the matts out first, idk if anyone would like me just, cutting the fur of the park cat lmao. I’ll ask the staff though? because if he actually has an owner they can tell them.
