TD: the beauty of the scene is, it's a totally graphic sexual love scene and yet, its purpose is totally functional.  it's not a purpose of...cameron wants to diddle around with john, or vice versa. it's - he needs to check this thing. now, they go about it in a kinda interesting way - JF: but I also think - I do think this. I think there's more going on with cameron than that. TD: I do too. JF: which is, I think, that ellison has said to her "will you join us?" and she knows exactly what that means. it means she's gonna have to leave. and I think that there's some sort of - it's sort of a goodbye. it's both sort of a way of completing the circle so that they're together so he will follow her if she goes somewhere, and sort of locks them together, but it's also a way to remind him "I'm not a girl." it sort of does both. at least that's how I always thought of it, both as saying “I'm not a girl but you do love me. but know that what you love is a machine”. and it was sort of - TD: I can't really hear a word you're saying right now, josh, I'm a little focused, sorry, on the screen. SG & JF: [burst out laughing]
