Aww. . . . I'm glad you two found each other.

So a week after the McCauleys handed an anonymous letter over to the Dean of Students, Jim Berg responded:
Dear Bill:
Mr. Miller sat down with Brad and went over this anonymous note. We found out that this same note has also been discussed with one of the elders at Mount Calvary, Chris Baker. Brad at this time denies any knowledge of this anonymous letter, as he did when he met with you and Mr. Baker.
We checked on the matter at this end, as well, from a handwriting standpoint. We have to do that quite often with cheating situations, for example. We cannot say that there is conclusive evidence that the note came from Brad.
We certainly aren’t professionals. You mentioned that you had a professional investigator look at the note. If you have a formal report from a professional forensic handwriting analysis, certainly forward it to us, and we will do what we can to look into the matter further. Until then, we will have to waif for God to reveal more clearly who the offender is before we can take any action.
JAB
Wait. What’s going on here? First, it sounds like Berg is trying to catch Dr. McCauley in sending the note to the elders and to BJU administration. Is that it?
Secondly, the BJU administration unprofessionally evaluates handwriting “quite often,” but if a family wants to acquire “a formal report from a professional forensic handwriting analysis,” that’d be great. The BJU admin’s unprofessional opinion is good enough for cheating students, however.
And they are “wait[ing] for God to reveal more clearly” who to accuse? Since when?
