BLOOD+ Episode 20 "Chevalier"
Nathan: Poison is a magic transmutation potion that turns people into corpses.
Karl: This knife is actually a magic wand.
Solomon: Meet me in the Denny’s parking lot for a wizard duel.
James: *cocks gun* Magic missile.
Amshel: What the fuck is wrong with you people.
The evolution of Diva’s Chevaliers from the first impression we get of them to what they really are like has always been so interesting to me.
Amshel? Well, Joel’s assistant. Oh, well, then, how bad could- Never mind, he’s completely obsessed with his experiments.
James, oh, James. So prim and proper and dedicated towards protecting his Mama... and the moment Mama doesn’t love him back, oh boi, time to go insane and involve the Schiff (?) and base entire threats off biblical lore (???).
And Nathan, of course, who starts out as the fabulously gay producer of musical somethings who occasionally annoys his teammates, and ends the series as the fabulously gay producer of musical somethings who occasionally hands out death threats to his teammates.
James / Blood+
Does anyone else remember Blood+?
I loved that show so much, I’ve read a couple versions of the manga too, and I am itching to talk about it.
I’m also laser focused on David and Julia despite them being secondary/tertiary characters. They’re my favorite ship.
and that’s how James died.
I have no idea what I even intended this to be... but blah. Some turned out alright, some not so well. It was supposed to be James’s locket, but the canvas was starting to lag so turned out as just a frame.
Anywayyyyy. Years after first watching it, Blood+ is still my favorite anime. :)
Amshel: Dammit, Diva!
Diva: What?! It wasn’t me!
Amshel: Sorry, force of habit. Dammit, James!
James: Not me either.
Amshel: Oh...Then who set the house on fire?
Nathan: *whistles*
