I once had an idea for a fanfic where Fox Mcloud crash lands on a planet where Samus is on a mission to discover a hidden Chozo site and they end up exploring the ruins and Fox talks about seeing his dad’s ghost and Samus being a skeptic saying ghosts aren’t real and the two butt heads while going deeper into the ruins but cooperate all the same and at the center they find a recording of James Mcloud also discovering the planet and meeting with the Chozo and playing with baby Metroids, talking about how he hasn’t held a baby since his son and how he misses him and can’t wait to see him again and both Samus and Fox start crying and agree that whether or not ghosts are real, people aren’t gone just because they’re gone.
Something I've wanted to draw for a few days for the passing of Rick May, the original voice for Peppy Hare in Starfox 64. I know it's silly but without voices like his I don't know if I would've fallen in love with the world of Starfox as much as I did. Rest in Peace.
Can we talk about how weird James's appearance in Star Fox Command is? The guy literally only appears in one level (dash makes a choice) even tho there is nothing special about that mission compared to the other venom levels, is exactly the same as Peppy gameplay wise even having the same music (Bill technically does the same thing but at least he got a different colour palette and theme), is at first implied that only Fox sees him yet Falco and Dash make comments when you play as him, is obviously there for real because he can destroy enemies and doesn't have the green effect on him that ghost Andross does in the same game but in the cutscene after Fox tells Dash he had nothing James's death despite him literally just killing the angler king (because lets be honest who didn't use him)
Also some of his sprites have minor colour errors so yeah hes probably the last thing added to the game
