I'm really glad you love your girlfriend James but I think there are more concerning and frankly more important things happening right now

I'm a simple woman. I see men with fancy mustaches. I want to draw them in sassy/fabulous poses.

Sometimes I wonder how the story would have differed of James had survived. What I think probably would happen is Albert end up killing him too.
Laketober 2024: Grounds - Family tree
My prediction for the plot of Servant of The Lake because I'm in major Vanderboom hyperfixiation mode:
Before the events of the game, Aldous falls ill with tuberculosis or another long-lasting illness and moves to his family's lakeside residence to breathe some fresh air, a common remedy for the time, leaving his wife, Alexandra, to raise their son, James, alone in their main residence.
Alexandra isn't content with this arrangement, but she keeps her qualms to herself; after all, she wouldn't want her child to fall ill as well.
William, Aldous' brother, isn't content, but for a different reason. You see, Aldous has played off his malady as just a temporary obstacle, but as weeks become months, William suspects that his brother's illness could be the end of him. Everytime William visits Aldous, Aldous looks more and more thin and pale, and William isn't ready to let go of his beloved brother. He prays for his brother to have a safe recovery, and wouldn't you know it, his prayers are answered by an angel.
Well, not exactly an angel, but a man who goes by the name of Harvey. Harvey tells William that he'll be able to help him save his brother from death in return for William creating a more permanent solution to death for his mysterious master. William obviously accepts this proposal, and he tells Alexandra that they will visit Aldous and cure him. Alexandra is skeptical, but she accepts.
And so the game begins. Aldous hires a new servant for his wife's and brother's weekend visit; he sure can't host properly in his condition; and Alexandra, William, and Harvey arrive. Aldous was aware of his wife and brother visiting, but William's so called 'servant' is a surprise to him and... Off-putting. William behind closed doors tells his brother of his plan and Harvey's involvement, and Aldous is a little more than disapproving of the plan. He's heard the stories of Icarus and Prometheus, and he's afraid that defying death could unleash unforseen consequences and that this Harvey could be leading William to a terrible fate.
William and Aldous have a big fight, ending with them slamming the doors to their respective rooms and retiring for the night. Aldous, however, is awakened by his own angel, or rather owl-man, in the middle of the night. A charming owl-man who tells him that he is meant for great things and that he's meant to create the Elixir of Life and Death. The lake needs this elixir, Aldous, and you're the one who will make it. For his work, he will live a life that even money couldn't even bring and he'll be sat right next to him, a fellow man who had to confront death but survived because of the blessings of the lake.
The next morning Aldous tells William he's ready to cure his malady, and thus starts a series full of murder, alchemy, and secrets.
Inktober day 8 - Reckless
I think like the choice for this specific drawing could be taken as controversial, and I completely understand this. By the way, guess who forgot to post for the past 2 days.
alr so during my 2nd walkthrough of rusty lake: roots i noticed something. james, emma and samuel seem to wear the same bowtie throughout the game.
(yeah, the quality sucks, let’s move on)
do they pass that bowtie around or something?? did emma wear it as a keepsake of james? did samuel wear it as a keepsake of BOTH EMMA AND JAMES??????
or maybe i’m just overthinking it
