Just got finished by the Farseer trilogy and if I have to be the only one to say it, then let me do the honours: Fitz was constantly abused, physically, mentally, sexually, spiritually and in every other way, by everyone in this series, whether intentionally or not. And I'll die on this hill.

just finished the farseer trilogy and am now stuck in this annoying limbo of "i kinda want to start a new book but i also feel like that would somehow be disloyal to the previous book because maybe i need to sit with it a bit more and think about things, but my mind also gets weirdly clouded when i start reading other people's reviews of it, so i can neither enjoy a new book nor prolong the enjoyment of the previous one, i can only stew in the feelings the previous book left me with, which are sheer longing and loneliness, and it sucks ass to be quite honest with you" 🥲

still not over phm movie and dynamic change for stratt/grace. book stratt/grace is betrayal with teeth, and i do love that. it’s the pragmatic choice made brutal. grace still sits with all that anger, all that raw pain, because yes, she had to, but she still did it to him.

but movie stratt/grace. god.

movie eva isn’t cold. she’s guarded. painfully, deliberately guarded. until the mask slips and, for one dangerous moment, she thinks she might get to keep him.

she cares about him. she knows she cannot afford to care about him. and she does it anyway.

she sends him because she has to. and it hurts because it’s right. and it hurts because it’s him.

and his goodbye message being so gentle??? no rage. no cruelty. not even the satisfaction of blame. just this awful, beautiful understanding. he knows she was right. he knows what she chose. and he doesn’t make her carry his anger too.

Finished the Farseer Trilogy. I feel so many things rn.

The fact that The Fool and Fitz haven't seen each other in actual years hurts me and then I look at the description of fools errand and find out it's been fifteen damn years,its called the Tawny Man trilogy so hopefully it does include the Fool(it has to or I will go crazy) also the fact they full on kissed kills me. Fitz still not getting the damn hint.

AND THE FACT THAT PATIENCE DOESN'T KNOW THAT FITZ IS ALIVE. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME. Omg he's her actual child and she doesn't know he's alive. Worst thing to ever happen in the history of books.

I have more to say but this is all I can put down for now
