We've been telling y'all about this for over 400 years. James Byrd, Jr. was an African-American who was murdered by three men, of whom at least two were white supremacists, in Jasper, Texas, on June 7, 1998. Shawn Berry, Lawrence Russell Brewer, and John King dragged Byrd behind a pick-up truck along an asphalt road. I been getting sent this story over and over. I understand how it may impact black folk, with our low self esteem, and constant neglect from this country. This happening will be just enough for dumb ass 🦝s and colonizas to say "look the justice system isnt racist". And honestly Im already pissed bout that shit cause I know they will be saying it. ______ Im bearing witness in my day and age to the same injustice that our ancestors went through.
