The constant changes and what seems like endless things that need to be dealt with are a chore but worth it. Slow but steady progress.
New people are showing interested in the JamesC collection everyday and I'm gradually seeing more people coming to the table as investors looking to buy a piece of the JamesC brand in their territry. Not a franchise as such but definetly flattering
Portfolios and presentation
Ok a little blog with advice here, a sort of continuation of my pro marketing and kit discussions.
When you get a meeting with An aryist you admire or are looking for oportunities leading the charge with:
"Why Do you need to see my work I'm excellent."
Is really not going to help your case folks.
Start with research. Know your niche;
Film/tv Fashion and print Wedding
Your portfolio and research need to reflect that. Second be origional. By that I mean if you want to Do the latest trend; skull candy, movie character fine. Try ad Do your own twist on it. I'm more impressed by influenced work than a direct copy.
If your focus is fashion and brdal show it. Have different skin tones and shades, different styles and above All 3 beauty to 1 creative or avante garde.
Trust me a good clean beauty makeup Will be more salable than a fantasy art shots.
Same goes for film. Clean natural looks on men and women, blood work and character shots that are origional.
I get called and emailed a lot on this and here's a clue. I don't have time to hold ypur hand. You need to show me why you out of the 100 others should be on the shoot assisting me.

JamesC in India for Christmas and New year
For the first time I had Christmas away from my family. A strangely mixed feeling but I have to admit its been worth it. I have spent a great deal of time with my good friend Akram, we are planing for the new year and I am getting the details finalized for the set up of my business here in India.
Switch the hair lounge will play a major part in this and I have to admit that I am really excited for the future.
I am planning some shoots of my own again with three models chosen and the first steps been taken to do a JamesC shoot as a showcase here in Mumbai.
