Jimmy's continued... So I dive into this thing with two hands knowing full well I won't be able to put it down and it's gone in about 2 minutes flat. My hands however could make beautiful jamesriver finger paintings of bbq sauce hand turkeys. Jimmy's wife noticed my struggle and brought over a pile of napkins and some hand sanitizer - jimmy simply wanted to know what I thought. I told it was great and loved all the sauce- he said "you said HEAVY so I makeitda HEAVY" Jimmy's has been doing their thing for over 18 years and they are primed for another 18 if they keep slinging these Mongos. You kiddin me? Of course a Sultan has to bop in for a sample of Lynn's beef namesake. I walked in and immediately was taken back in time to when jukeboxes and arcade games dominated the beef parlors of yesteryear, you could see the buttons and joysticks stained with #jamesriverbbqsauce . I met the master and told him how excited I was to try their beef as I drive by everytime I visit their neighbor @bentwaterbrewing . He had that look in his eye as he could see my enthusiasm as I took the tray from his beef laden paws and found myself a booth by the window. Before I took my seat he told me "You'll be back" in a Grecian / English accent. I can only hope it was his Greece's Greatest hits CD displayed proudly in the Jukebox. I unwrapped this tightly packed masterpiece and it was as if the beavers had missed a log causing the dam of Sauce to break through its barrier and spill out onto the paper creating beautiful pools for dipping. The beef was packed well, onion roll toasted to perfection, and the JR was plentiful. Only knock being that it could have been a bit more rare...but the sauce kept things sloppy and was just what a #sauceboss needed. It was a great beef in a great square in a city that is on the rise. When: 4/8/17| 6:05PM | Where: Peter's Roast Beef, Wilmington, MA | What: Superbeef, Heavy sauce & pickles | Price: $8.09 (plus the bite of #barqsrootbeer ) Color: drop dead red | Weight: shotput | Rating: 4.6 BEEFS | Tasting Notes: Slicer Slicer on the Wall...who slices the rarest beef of them all? Out of all the beefs we've devoured, Peter's in Wilmington on the route 38/129 intersection takes the cake (beefcake that is). This beef was a thing of beauty. I've had Peter's before but don't recall it being this good. I waltzed into the place during what seemed like a lull so I wondered what was taking so long, it must have been that Peter himself was out back killing the cow because it came to me mooing and oozing with #jamesriverbbqsauce The onion roll was perfectly crisped to cradle that sweet cow in between its clutches and was perfectly filled resulting in minimal spillage. It was though they sliced and then scooped the perfect portion between those buns to create a perfectly crafted cow cadaver. I experienced what can only be known as the cotton candy effect as it simply melted away and I was left with a wax paper souvenir. When: 2/18/17 | Where: Pano's Super Beef | Where: Hudson, NH (our 2nd #GraniteStateBeef | What: Super Beef w/ extra #Sauce & Cheese | Price: $6.95! | Color: Fairy Tale | Weight: Chubby Gerbil | Rating: 4.7 BEEFS | Tasting Notes: Good God in Heaven. Pano, where have you been all my life? From the moment I stepped inside, I knew this place was legit. In the back corner of the joint was a beautiful man, who I assume to be Pano, effortlessly orchestrating his meat slicer machine. The slicer appeared to be an extension of his body & soul. Less than 5 minutes later, a #SuperBeef was brought over, on a perfectly toasted & buttered #onionroll. This thing literally melts in your mouth, I don't even remember chewing anything. I'm pretty certain they gave me brown #cottoncandy... it was very surreal, I actually forgot I was eating a #sandwich.
