Stop being jealous of someone for their material possessions. Envy their dedication, their discipline. Be jealous of their open mindedness, and their level of understanding. Then channel that jealousy into a drive to rise to that level.

Perhaps our constant need to feel like everything we do or love is so unique to us and only ours that we alienate the possibility of sharing our moments with anyone else? Maybe that’s why so many of us feel so, alone?
It’s okay if everyone suddenly likes a band you've loved for years. It’s okay if suddenly everyone dressed like you always have. It’s okay if everyone suddenly likes your favorite food or actor or movie.
Why would you spend your whole life believing something was worth loving just to hate it once the love was shared? That’s just selfish.
Push past the ego, nothing will ever only be yours to love; and that should make you feel good.
I can’t be the only one who went out and bought cookie dough when I turned 18 because my parents could tell me no anymore. Like, fuck. My whole life had been building up to that moment. I was ready to rebel.
