for the ask: black nail polish, sunrise and 11:11 :)
black nail polish: do you have a bucket list? if so what are the top three things?
i don’t! i’m a very fickle person and what i want changes by the moment!
sunrise: pick a quote and explains what it means to you personally
it varies a bit because it’s a translation, but i love the quote “i’m taking back who i was” from rgu. it was a show that was pretty formative for me because it was the first thing that started to convince me that being gay was not the end of the world as i knew it, and that the person i was trying to turn myself into wasn’t making me or anyone else happy. it’s a nice quote about being true to yourself and it meant a lot to me at the time
11:11 name 3 wishes and why you’d wish for them
my god i honestly wouldn’t know where to start, sorry!
I was tagged by @janammann! Thanks a bunch!
So basically, for each letter in my URL, I had to give the title of a song starting with that letter. Of course, I had to take songs from musicals ;)
Carpe Noctem (Tanz der Vampire) Overture (The Phantom of the Opera) (hehe, easy one, I know) Sonya Alone (Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812) Empty Chairs at Empty Tables (Les Misérables) The Glamourous Life (A Little Night Music) The Me Inside of Me (Heathers the Musical) Ever After (Into the Woods) Green Finch and Linnet Bird (Sweeney Todd) Ich Gehöre Nur Mir (Elisabeth das Musical) Rainbow High (Evita) Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) (Hamilton)
I tag anyone who wants to do this!
so maybe top 10 musicals and top 10 historical people like in general ;)
Thanks! These are cool ones!
Top 10 musicals
1. The Phantom of the Opera
2. Les Miserables
3. Imagine This
4. Cabaret
5. Notre Dame de Paris
6. Fiddler on the Roof
7. Spring Awakening
8. Into the Woods
9. My Fair Lady
10. Sunset Boulevard
Top 10 historical figures (in no particular order)
1. Stalin (I always feel so bad when I say this xD)
2. Władysław Anders
3. Nicholas II
4. Stanisław August Poniatowski
5. Anne Boleyn
6. Elizabeth of Austria
7. Nadezhda Alliluyeva (and many other wives of the dictators)
8. Grace Kelly
4, 7 and 16 ;)
4. What can I say, Michael Kunze S L A Y S (especially in duet with Sylvester Levay, just wow).
7. I have to say I’m really attached to good ol’ Phandom, despite the neverending drama I love the fact that it consists of so many knowledgeable people who are so passionate about PotO (hey @operafantomet, I’m talking about you).
16. My answer may be surprising or not at all, but I’m gonna go with Hamilton. Don’t get me wrong, I think Lin had a very interesting idea of showing American history and the fact that the cast consists of so many POC is incredible, but the musical itself is just not my piece of cake you know.
