Images from Photo London last week at Somerset House. We exhibited photographs by Harry Cory Wright, Rick Giles, Jane Hilton, Dede Johnston and Gina Soden. We hope everyone who made it down to the fair enjoyed it as much as we did!

Jane Hilton’s forthcoming exhibition ‘L.A. Gun Club’ will be presented at Eleven from 13th May to 18th June. In this new series, Hilton photographed the shot target posters from her trip to the L.A. Gun Club and documented basic facts regarding the individuals who took part in this activity. 

From top to bottom:

TARGET M Age: 31 Occupation: Owner of a ‘Skate Shop’ in Germany Gun: Kalashnikov AK47 “I’m on holiday visiting my cousin and we decided to come here to shoot some guns as it is something I can’t do in Germany. I am going to the Grand Canyon tomorrow.”

TARGET K Age: 34 Occupation: Biology school teacher Gun: Sig Sauer 226 9mm pistol (shooters’ own) “I like to come here for ‘stress relief’. It is not unusual for teachers at my school to have guns and use them at clubs for stress relief. Our Vice Principal does, but obviously does not advertise the fact. I come when I have a bad day at school, but that doesn’t mean I visualise the pupils. I don’t !”

TARGET A Age: 35 Occupation: Federal Security Gun: Glock 22 .40 caliber pistol “I can’t believe I shot that hostage’s ear on my target. I learnt to shoot when I was in the military Marine Corps infantry”
