Roughly a month had passed since the Caped Crusader had first heard of what happened in Hawkins, Indiana through the various tabs he kept on the government. He was aware of the alternate dimension, the creatures that resided there, what had happened over the past two years with them and, most importantly in Batman’s mind, the psychokinetic child that the various reports referred to as “Eleven”. There had been brief mentions of her in the reports from after her disappearance in November of 1983, but those mentions had gotten even briefer after a year.
Few things angered the Dark Knight anymore, but harm befalling children was one, and he wouldn’t stand for it. Especially not when he could do something about it. Whatever situation the girl was in, Batman was determined to help in any way he could. And so he was in Hawkins, seeking to both fill in the gaps in his knowledge of the events as well as find out what had happened to Eleven and offer that help.
Currently, he was in the midst of exploring Hawkins’ forest, unaware of just how close he was to a certain cabin...
