JA XTC is currently one of the most up writers in the world of graffiti, and has been for over 20 years. He is so famous he even has his own wikipedia page. Starting in New York 1986, he quickly rose to fame and by 1990 he was already all-city. His tags appeared all over the 5 boroughs of New York, covering walls top to bottom. JA became so prolific, he was sued by the city of NY, the Mass Transit Authority and the Department of Transportation for $5 million in punitive damages, a move that was historic in that the city of New York decided it was not worth it to sue graffiti taggers for damages, except in JA's case because the extensive damage he had caused. In 1990, he was chased by the NY police and after being handcuffed, was beat with a night stick and kicked by police offices causing him to require 130 stitches to the head. The police claimed he was hit by a Buick. JA is known for writing over anyone who writes over him or his homies. He takes pride in never losing a war, boasting the fact that he has single-handedly taken out whole crews while he is still writing after almost thirty years now. He is especially protective of his late homie SANE (RIP) who passed away after falling off a bridge. JA still throws up SANE's tag and goes hard over anyone who disses him, including west coast legend SABER, who at one point wrote over a SANE tag. JA then flew to LA and dissed one of the biggest and most famous graffiti pieces of all time, a huge SABER piece along the LA river. Neither arrests nor other writers have ever stopped JA, and according to an uncited claim in his wikipedia page, he is and forever will be "the most up writer of all time, the undisputed true king of graf." And he just may be deserving of that title.
