A day of adventure and discovery in April 2017 under the emerging blossoms of the cherry trees; a small gathering looked to connect with the landscape and all things new.  This gathering took place at an abandoned village in a remote forest in Japan.

Just reserved about 3kg or 5% of a 60kg micro-lot from #tea farmer Ogura-san who cultivates Yabukita cultivar fields (without pesticides!) just 20 min drive from our office. He is a first generation farmer, having moved to this area of Japan from Tokyo to escape the rat race (what #tea enthusiast doesn’t dream of this from time to time???). He only makes a small amount of green tea because most of his production capacity is going into making a very lightly oxidized first flush black tea (learning from Darjeeling producers), and a more heavily oxidized second flush. Will be working with him to create an English-language #teafield tour if you happen to visit #Odawara.
