I unboxed a few figures from a few recent hauls, so I'll be spamming a lot of crappy, terribly lit photos of some of those. First is my Square Enix FORM-ISM NieR: Replicant ver.1.22474487139… Nier Complete Non-Scale Figure. I got two, so I could unbox one. I love this version quite a lot. I also own the Statuette version, but I sadly never got my double, so I never unboxed one. I also have the Nendoroid and two of the Taito child NieR Spooky Chibi Boy figures based on this NieR. I feel like I might still be able to get a second of the Statuette one, so I will try to do that. This one is gorgeous! So many nice details, and the face paint apps are pretty clean and detailed for such a small figure.
I took a lot of photos, because I love this version of NieR and was disappointed that I didn't get a choice when the game first released, to play brother NieR. Although, the original version young NieR is a lot darker, aesthetically, I like this "cleaner" version just as much. I always wanted to make a custom figure based young/brother NieR, but the outfit alone always leaves me just dreaming about it, and not ever actually trying. I don't know how to sew, and this outfit is pretty complicated; finding the right fabrics, the right texture at a scale I would prefer (1:6), would be a huge pain in the lower back. Not to mention his hair, that's one of the main reasons why I never attempted making a custom doll or figure based on my 2nd fav character of all time (Sasuke Uchiha!), because recreating his hair, just thinking about it gives me nightmares.
This is a beautiful figure, I am super happy I was able to get him, and was able to justify getting two, so I could really see all the gorgeous details of his intricate outfit and sabatons.
It seems Tumblr's AI is having mental breakdowns. This is a scaled toy, a static figure of a young adult person, fully dressed. Nothing p0rnographic going on here. Ever. This is so freaking frustrating....
