Wholesome hc: while Arthur is recovering from the colm thing, Jack convinces Arthur to let him braid flowers into his overgrown beard/hair. Arthur forgers the flowers are there and falls asleep like that, gets some funny looks from everyone as he grouchily gets his coffee the next morning. But he leaves them in there anyways cuz Jack is proud of is handiwork.

Jack made uncle arthur the prettiest cowboy in the whole wild west and artie may not acknowledge it but it makes him feel good lookin a lil special like that and knowin it makes jack happy to see his beloved uncle happy too and showing off his hard work

The cats’ names are a mix of Spanish and welsh/gaelic cuz Javier and Kieran trade off naming each on and they’ve DEFINITELY disagreed on what to name some of the rescues. Pepita was their first cat and she’s also the oldest she’s a long haired orange tabby and is all grizzled and scarred but she has the LOUDEST purr and is extremely cuddly and fluffy and like. Half Maine coone she she’s also a BIG BABY

tbh i would have taken modern!kieran to name his pets simple and silly names but pretty welsh/gaelic is way better ... usually they take turns but sometimes there's one that they pick favs on and it disrupts the whole system. idk any words in any other language so ... forgive my lack of suggestions on that front kwndkwndejdn

pepita originally stayed at javier's house before they moved into the big one, but she saw kieran so often it didn't make much of a difference. he used to come over after work while javier was working late, sit with pepita in his lap, and he'd just taaalk to her, talk talk talk. cuz she perks her ears up and meows when there's a pause and acts like she rlly gets what he's saying. javier walks in late one night and hears from the other room, "-and i was like, obviously that isn't gonna work, she doesn't like the turkey flavoured treats, she likes the pumpkin oatmeal ones, so dumb idea, yknow ?" "mrrow" "RIGHT, but they haaad to ignore me so it took ALL day to give her the shot- OH JAVIER WHEN DID U GET HOME !!!!" and javier will never forget it

If the anon asking about two spirit stuff is interested, they should look up the “taboo” series by national geographic. There’s an episode on third (and fourth and fifth) genders in other cultures that is SUPER fascinating. It might be on YT. Don’t remember the exact name of the episode but the show is just called Taboo.

Seriously, because the last like 3x I’ve had them I felt FERAL and they weren’t on my face. But I cannot imagine how itchy that would be! I hope that he kept them moisturized enough to ebb the itchiness...but we all know he didn’t.
