Species Highlight: Jargon

tldr, very tall bird people. Physical traits aside, I want to tell you want makes the jargon socially unique!

Government: The jargon have no separation between their economy and government. There is no single power, every "city" is a megacorporation. Their CEOs are in charge of law making and enforcement.

Religion: They have commodified their gods into a pop culture franchise. Very few jargon know the original story of their pantheon, basing their interpretations off of whatever incarnation of the franchise they've seen.

Gender: This is different for every species, but the jargon are closest to humans. Two sexes, two genders, but in the absence of dimorphism, there is a lot of emphasis on performance. This ties heavily into their consumerist society.

Lastly, Technology: The executives market their tech as the best on the continent, though for as flashy and expensive as it is, it is cheaply made, easy to break, and difficult to repair.

Here are my four species! Heights aren't fully accurate, but you get the idea.

Left to right: Jargon, Tephra, Vellum, and Lumen.

All species are different, with unique social pressures and challenges, though no one is better than the other.

My next posts will be very brief overviews on their culture. I'm not sure how much of the details I'm going to fit in the story, so I'm just showing you the broad strokes for now.
