It’s been more than a year since the Jasper Zine project was funded or w/e, so decided to post my piece any way, cuz it rly looks like it might not get solved any time soon.

Hey, I've been seeing you covering what's going on with @jasperzine, aka Tiger Bomb. I'm not sure how old the posts are though, has there been any new developments? I paid money for the zine and am quite upset. :(

Hi- all I know is Melskunk (the person in charge of the zine) is kind of hiding on instagram and spending a lot of money on enamel pins. When they post here it’s usually one vague sentence and then they leave (a month ago they posted “stop harassing the artists” and absolutely nothing else). They’ve given people an email to reach for refunds but have ignored all emails. Bigcartel, the website she used to “sell” the zines, state in their ToS they can only do an investigation after three formal complaints have been submitted. I submitted one of the three so I hope two other people out there do so as well that way she at least has to be transparent with Bigcartel about what’s happening. It doesn’t mean Bigcartel will sue her--- unless she ignores them like she’s ignored everyone else, but it will force her to talk about what’s happening.

The email they provided for a refund request is [email protected] but they don’t answer emails.

Will the jasperzine ever be made? I seriously ask because its been a little over a year since its supposed release. I just want my book or get my money back at least. Im kinda mad no one is talking about it or seeing any updates about this zine. So many artists and writers and buyers of the zine put a lot of effort and dedication into this book for it not to be done already or at least get some fucking updates on the progress of it!

I’m...b..ack..??

Hello guys. I just recently realized how much time has passed since the last time I was really active. I still check out stuff but nothing more and I thought as to why... Well,I had some health problems and the usual joblessness hasn’t really helped lol. Also I was a bit...no, a LOT disappointed in this site. They keep uselessly updating the site but we’re still plagued by porn bots and viruses, I see more and more horrible people writing idiotic stuff around ...more than everything, the fact that the stuff I was so excited about a year ago, the fanzine about Jasper, probably just ended up in a scam and the person organizing another zine in which I should have participated just dropped everything without as much as a word, was the straw that broke the camel’s back; if I couldn’t even trust anymore fans AND artists, what there was to do here? I honestly thought about doing another Jaspyxmas event but I honestly was too phisically tired and felt disconnected from the fandom after the ZINE BETRAYAL and the disappointment in the long times the show itself it’s taking, without ever hinting at the big orange return.

....At the same time though,.... I have met great friends here and had fun, so I’m thinking about coming back ..... and I still have hope that we can make good stuff together here. (and I’d like to do something with other people who worked with so much love about the Jasperzine. I’ll write about this idea later, hoping it will gain interest?Probably after Xmas though)
