*Modern AU*
Pepper: I’m here, what’s the hair emergency you texted me about? I have scissors, hair products, and the appointment scheduling number already pulled up on my phone. But- you look fine.
Jane: Thank goodness you came! It’s pretty simple: my mother said she loved how my hair looks! Jane, taking Pepper’s scissors and snipping them in the air: It’s time for a do-over of this hair-do.
Pepper: You know, it is not healthy to ignore all your negative emotions all the time. Gunther: I know, that's why I ignore the positive ones too. Pepper: ...
Prince Cuthbert: Can you please stop putting raisins in foods that would otherwise taste good? Pepper: But, your highness- Jester, interrupting: Your majesty, you are being unraisinable.
This is kinda related to my last incorrect quote but I feel like Pepper would really love a lot of romance stories (movies, books etc.) and while she’d love seeing relationships progress over time, she’d 100% have a large soft spot for the love at first sight trope. I also think she’d channel at least a little bit of her passion for matchmaking into shipping fictional characters, to the relief of her friends.
Lavinia: Do we have strawberries? Pepper: no, we’re out. Lavinia: Terrible! How is this castle a home without strawberries in it?
Lavinia: Can we have a birthday cake? Pepper: It's not your birthday. Lavinia: The cake won't know.
I think modern!au Pepper would hear someone offhandedly mention eating their first meal of the day at 4:00 pm and metaphorically have a stroke.
