My beebs are turning into birbs
They scream for food, I set them on the seed dish or bin, they eat the seed and stop screaming.
[Image of a juvinile java rice sparrow sitting in a platic bin. Paper towel is on the bottom and seed is scattered throughout. The bird has a mouthful of seed.]
Tribute to Pearl.
You were one heck of a gem.
Baby birds peeping for food*
“You were all just fed”
These pictures were taken today (15th).
Look at how much they’ve grown in three days! How much more feather and soft they are now!
New babes after first hand feeding. Three of them with eldest sibling on top.
They are a little more difficult to feed with three of them, but I’m sure in a day or two they’ll be devouring everything and it’ll be easier for me.
They’re going to need nicknames, because calling them youngest, middle and eldest gets old very fast, but those will come in time.
Documenting growth. Photos from the 17th of May.
I can’t seem to get a picture of the baby’s feet, but they are pink and fleshy like the rest of them, except for small patches of their foot scales that are starting to grow. Dark patches on top of the light ones with more texture to them.
