Five Bixes and an Egg

So my other female laid two eggs, both infertile. This gave me a perfect opportunity to showcase the size difference to really show how much they’ve grown.

They used to be smaller than their own heads. Only a month ago.

p.s. this clutch is nicknamed Bixbees because I accidentally named their 4am alarm “Heckin Bixbees” instead of “Check boxbabies”. Bixbee just kind of stuck.

He and Odo are always so excited for fresh water and will immediately take a bath when I change the water out.

My brave little one started picking at the stringy bits so soon after I put this in the cage.

Dax was on my shoulder and when we got close he was looking at Odo and making kissy sounds.

Last new additions for now!

I have been wanting this pair for a long time, longer than I’ve wanted the other finches for sure. I realize now taking care of the others that I will be able to afford them both physically and financially.

So I am so happy to be able to introduce Kira and Odo to our flock.
