for some reason or another, jax couldn’t help but be worried about lexi’s safety during the baby shower. the family didn’t tend to host parties often and when they did, they tried to keep it lowkey. this was hard to do when lexi was still tangled up with her hospital friends. hence why he felt the need to provide even more security, asking for trevor to keep a lookout with him. he made rounds inside every now and then, checking up on lexi to make sure everything was okay but for the most part she was always just chatting it up with other girls. so far nothing was awry other than the same suv driving by the past half hour which he was already getting into his head about. as the night began to wind down, he left trevor outside and made his way inside again, catching stacey checking him out for what felt like the third time that night. “hey, baby.” he slipped his hand to the small of her back and pressed a kiss to the side of her head. “you want me to start loading up the gifts in the car?” he asked.
