Just the art of being Jay biased and loving horror movies, to the point of falling asleep to them !

Jay loves you. He does, truly.

He had no problem with the concept of you being unable to fall asleep in dead silence, or that you simply didn’t like the dark, but when you took the remote and found a horror movie…to go to sleep to?

That would be a level of taken aback he had never reached.

He thought it was a joke the first time you did it, that you were just trying to mess with him, but nope. He vividly remembers the film opening with creepy music, eery creaking sounds, and you simply snuggled into him, and were asleep within minutes, content as can be.

That first night, he rubbed your back and did his best to pretend like one of his least favorite things was on the tv, not wanting to disrupt your sleep, like the considerate man he is.

Months down the line, you’d offered several times to not pick a horror movie every night, but Jay always declined.

Now, he just waits for you to fall asleep, hopes to god you do before anything too wild happens in the film, then changes it. You can still have your background noise, for your subconscious, while you sleep, but you don’t have to know it’s not whatever nightmare fuel you had originally put on.

Maybe he’s too considerate, but he can tolerate half an hour of discomfort if it means you get to fall asleep peacefully every night.
