I Tried But I Keep Coming Up Short || Stellan and Jayden Huntley

Stellan frantically slammed the door shut to his room, quickly he locked it so no one could come in. He eyed the bottle of Everclear that he was now shaking in his hand, he knew that it was now or never. Quickly Stellan unscrewed the cap. the bitter alcohol scent filled the room. “I’m so sorry, please forgive me.” He mumbled quietly as he poured the clear liquid into his glass, tears slowly ran down his face as he stared at the walls. So many thoughts filled his head, memories and promises made. “Here goes nothing.” He thought picking up the glass.  

Stellan quickly downed the contents of the glass, the alcohol burned in his chest and he instantaneously felt his face flush. Standing he fought to regain his balance, slowly he walked over to his closet and pulled out a photo album. It was full of memories and happier times that Stellan longed to have back. Sluggish and slowly he turned the pages of the book, he finally stopped on a picture of him and Jayden with his Mom and Dad. After staring at the pages of the album he felt the room around him start to spin. His legs started to feel weak and before he knew it he was on the ground.
