Marvel 1985 house ad

In a 2023 interview on the Dollar Bin Bandits podcast, JayJay Jackson said that Marvel's ad department, where she worked at the time, was stumped by the request to make an ad for their ThunderCats, Misty, and Care Bares comics together, as they were intended for separate demographics. But advertising manager Fabian Nicieza came up with famous "lions and tigers and bears" line from The Wizard of Oz as the unifying element in a "eureka" moment.
