Today's September 16th task for #jcfseptember is to share #flowers. After a quick look around outside - finding no flowers in evidence - I came inside for my editions of the St. Helens trilogy by Jayne Castle. 😄😍❤ . . . . This trilogy features lead female characters with flower names, and their first names are the titles of the books and the flowers they're named after are pictured on the covers! 😄❤ . . . . So here in this photo I have Amaryllis, Zinnia, and Orchid, all by Jayne Castle, who is also known as Jayne Ann Krentz! My favorite author! 😍❤ And I really love this trilogy. I reread it for the first time since moving to Arizona over the past few months, and I'm really regretting that it took me over five years to reread it. Why is it so hard to find time to reread favorite stories? 🤔 . . . . Of course, as I'm asking this, I'm rereading a favorite series. Turn to Photo Two to see today's book! Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews, book three in the Kate Daniels series. 😍❤ . . . . Shown with Magic Strikes is my bruise, now 96+ hours old. I forgot to post a #jcfjune post yesterday with a #bookrec, so I'm combining that post with today's June 6 post of my #faveauthor! 😍😄❤ . . . . For the book recommendation, if you enjoy romantic suspense stories, may I introduce you to the works of Jayne Ann Krentz? She is arguably my MOST favorite author. Pictured I have my favorite books for each of the three names she writes under! 😍❤ . . . . 1. Ravished by Amanda Quick is historical Romantic Suspense (all her AQ stories are historical RS). 2. Absolutely, Positively by Jayne Ann Krentz is contemporary Romantic Suspense (all her JAK stories are contemporary RS). 3. After Dark and After Glow, by Jayne Castle, is a futuristic Sci-Fi--Romantic Suspense duology (all her JC books are futuristic Sci-Fi--RS). . I really love all four of these books. Today's task for #jcfjune is to share #bookandamug. I just took this photo of Sleepy Max with a mug and BOOKS, because I read Charlie All Night by Jennifer Crusie and Enthroned by K.M. Shea today. 😊😍❤ . . . . I really loved Charlie All Night; ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It is a favorite story o'mine. ❤ And I only read Enthroned once via my Kindle, but I don't know which cover to share! The one on top is the one in my library, but the one on bottom is the Cover when the book is open! 🤔 Anyway, I really enjoyed this story. I'm giving it four stars even though it was not without errors. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ . . . . And Amaryllis by Jayne Castle is the book I am going to read next! I am REALLY looking forward to rereading this story. It has been far, far too long since I last read it. ❤❤❤ . . . . This mug is my second favorite mug. It says "DOG MOM" on one side and "My child has four legs and fur" on the other side. 😍❤😍 . . . . And if you scroll to see the second picture, do you see that hawk in the sky? (You probably can't see it. I THINK it's somewhere above that white light in the center, but even I can't spot it.) Earlier today, we had a hawk in our NEAR BACKYARD. It was chasing a smaller bird! And they flew so close to my head that I flinched! 😨 Sadly, I did not have my phone with me. (I was taking the recycling out, trying to unlock the gate when the two birds raced by.) Today's #BoB22IGChallenge is #CoverLove. The task is hopefully self-explanatory: We are to share covers that we love! 😄🎉❤ . . . . Pictured I have book 12 in the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series by Yasmine Galenorn, Shadow Rising, which I love because it has a nighttime view of my favorite city (Seattle) on it. 😍 . . . . And below Shadow Rising, I have the St. Helens trilogy by Jayne Castle! I love these covers because each of the titles is the name of that book's female MC, and each cover shares an image of the flower that is its title. 😍❤ . . . . I really love this trilogy (and the O/SotM series ❤), but it's been too long since I last read it. Today's task for #jayjaysconstantfaerytalesvalentine is to share my #FavoriteCover. Since I shared my #FavoriteAuthor the other day, I thought I'd share some of my #FavoriteCovers on her books. 😊 . . . . But first, just who is my favorite author? Jayne Ann Krentz! I've met her and she's very nice. And I adore her stories so much that she is one of very few authors who I read (and collect!) if they publish "vanilla" books (or books without any paranormal/supernatural/mythical/fantastical elements). 😄😊❤ . . . . The books shown here include some of my MOST favorite books, as well as a few others that were easy to find amongst the books in my bedroom. Namely. . . 1. The Paid Companion by Jayne Ann Krentz writing as #AmandaQuick 2. Wait Until Midnight, also by AQ 3. Amaryllis by Jayne Ann Krentz writing as #JayneCastle 4. Zinnia, also by JC 5. Orchid, again by JC 6. River Road by #JayneAnnKrentz . I love these covers because books 1,2, and 6 have story elements on them and books 3-5 have flower titles and the flowers are on the covers! 😍❤ . . . . In other words, these are covers without live people! (Statuary, as shown on The Paid Companion, is fine by me!) I'm not a fan of people on the cover. And sooo many books have people as the focus of their covers! 😣🙈 . . . . Today's task for #jayjaysconstantfaerytalesvalentine is to share my #FavoriteAuthor. ❤❤❤ . . . . My favorite author has to be Jayne Ann Krentz. She now writes under three names and I love ALL of her stories, no matter whether they're one of her Jayne Ann Krentz contemporaries (with or even without paranormal elements), one of her Amanda Quick historicals (again with or without paranormal elements), or one of her Jayne Castle futuristics (which pretty much ALL have some sort of paranormal or fantastical elements!). ❤❤❤ . . . . If you scroll through the pictures above, you'll be able to see my favorite stories from each of her pen names: #JayneAnnKrentz: 1. Absolutely, Positively (my MOST favorite book! It's signed!) 2. Falling Awake (signed!) 3. All Night Long . I think I even reread all three of these books in 2017! I love them sooo much! 😄🎉❤ . . . . #AmandaQuick: 1. Ravished (my most favorite historical!) 2. Lie by Moonlight 3. The Paid Companion (signed!) 4. Wait Until Midnight #JayneCastle: 1. The St. Helen's Trilogy! (Amaryllis, Zinnia, and Orchid) 2. The first two books in the Ghost Hunters series! (What I like to call the Fuzz Duology! After Dark [signed!] and After Glow) . ❤❤❤ . . . . You may have noticed that a number of these books are signed. I've met Jayne Ann Krentz at least three times (although I only have memories from two of our meetings). I attended events with her in Seattle somewhere between 10 and 15 years ago. She's very nice! 🎉😀❤ . . . . Someday I hope to meet her again, as I'd love to have my editions of Ravished and Amaryllis signed (and okay, ALL of these that are not - yet? - signed!)! 😄❤ . . . . And while these are the books I return to the most (Absolutely, Positively and Amaryllis were both published originally in 1996, Ravished in 1992!; most recent is All Night Long, published in 2006), I do still read and buy - and reread! - her later books. ❤ . . . . Photo Four above is actually of my place in line for her latest, Promise Not to Tell. (Sadly, I didn't place my hold until this book was already put in the world, so I'm number 84 and they only have have 59 copies! 😣😭) Max looks disappointed. 😄
