Lukas felt conflicted. There were a couple of reasons that he was checking up on Jayson. She had stopped coming by for blood, which worried him. The hunter part of him was wondering if she was becoming a danger to others and feeding on others. The part of him that cared for her wondered if she was upset with him. Either way, he knew that he needed to check up on her. Going over to her house, the half-demon knocked on her door. When she opened it, he went ahead and spoke. “I am sorry. I didn’t realize how much the ball meant to you.” Lukas apologized. However, even if he knew, he was unsure if he would have gone. Going to Liza meant a lot to her because it meant she wasn’t alone. He felt that making sure someone wasn’t feeling alone was pretty important to him. “I brought you this little bat.” He held up the stuffed animal that was advertised as a stuff demon bat. It was blue with fangs and what he only could assume was a white blood drop.
