43: I’ve made a huge mistake.
“No no nononono.” Weiss says as she paces back andforth through the room. “I’ve made a huge mistake. I need to fix it, I’lljust call it all off.”
“Relax Weiss, its fine.” Ruby says. “You’ll do great.”
“She’s right.” Blake says.
“But what if it doesn’t work out? I hired musicians, I booked a wholerestaurant, and I had fresh food shipped in from Mistral. It could all go towaste!"
"Oh wow.” Ruby says, “Yeah you probably shouldn’t have donethat. Not that anything bad will happen, that’s just a lot.”
Blake chuckles a little, “Nothing is going to go wrong Weiss, we knowthis. You just have to calm down and relax. It’ll be fine.”
“What if she says no though?” Weiss asks, stopping her pacing tolook at them.
“She won’t.” Ruby says easily, sitting on Weiss’ bed besideBlake.
“How can you be so sure?”
“Cause she’s my sister and I know her better than I know anyone else.She’s not gonna say no, Weiss. Not with the crush she has on you.”
“You promise?” Weiss asks with a look of almost distress.
“Swear on it.” Ruby says. “The only reason she hasn’t askedyou out is cause she thought it would be like, rude. You’re her friend andalways studying and stuff. She didn’t want to mess things up.”
“Is it really okay for you to just share her secrets like that?”Weiss asks.
“It’s not really a secret. Literally the only person who didn’t knowwas you.”
“That’s true.” Blake says, “Even Jaune saw it.”
“Jaune? But he’s an idiot who can’t tell Pyrrha is in love withhim.” Weiss waves her arms dramatically as she talks as if offended.
“Seems it’s different when you’re the focus.” Ruby says.
“It does seem that way.” Blake agrees.
Just then they hear the door unlock and Yang walks in. “Heya ladies,you can start the party cause I’ve walked in.” She says with a grin, andnotices all eyes on her. “What’s up?”
“Nothing.” Ruby says, “Me and Blake were just goingthough.”
“Right.” Blake says and gets up, Ruby beside her as they startout.
“Where you headed?” Yang asks.
“I’m going to show your sister the hidden stash of porn in thelibrary.” Blake says as they walk out.
“You better be kidding Belladonna!” Yang calls out from thedoor, turning back inside, “You don’t think that stash is real, doyou?"
"I doubt it, but you never know.” Weiss says, “Yang,there’s something I want to ask you.”
“What is it?” Yang asks, leaning against the desk nearby. Itseemed this wasn’t something simple.
Weiss took a deep breath and decided to follow Ruby’s advice, Gods helpher, and just go for it. “Yang, would you like to have dinner withme?” She asks.
Yang goes to respond and then stops when she realizes Weiss didn’t mean anormal dinner. She pauses for a moment in surprise, and then smiles. “Iwould love to.” She says.
