I have some headcanons for the Master Thief verse for you to consider if it should please you. Neo is one of Weiss's frenemies or rival theives who sometimes team up or whatever. Sun and Ilia work with Blake at Interpol. They solve crimes. Weiss once teamed up with Interpol (and specifically Blake) to take down Dr. Merlot who was involved in some real shady stuff. Like zombies! And that's it. Thoughts?

I actually thought long and hard about this and absolutely love it.

So Neo worked with Yang in a 2-year partnership before using her as a distraction. This would be her "going solo" but really she was making the switch to Torchwick. Weiss was approached several times, but her responses have never been kind since she was always aware Neo was a backstabber to most partners she brought on.

Sun and Ilia work in different branches of Interpol. Blake's partner was Jaune, but when Yang signed the deal, she worked with either Blake or Coco, shifting Jaune and Velvet from their usual partners.

Penny's father works with Interpol on tracking and security.

Weiss and Ruby still have quite the moral compass and tend to help Coco and Velvet with leads. She has worked with Interpol before, but has always found a loophole or ditched at the last minute to avoid getting caught.

I just remembered the AU where Weiss is a thief who had a kid with Blake but Blake doesn't know and she got caught, now i just want the rescue team to somehow had Weiss' kid come along (without anyone knowing) and thus Blake sees this faunus kid calling Weiss mom
