So these paintings constitute my final project in Design I. I finished these in early December 2015, but I’d been withholding them because @jaz-fireforge hadn’t gotten his set in the mail yet, and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise. As it is, I don’t expect they’ll get there anytime soon, and I finally wanted to show these off because I’m still proud of them.
These are scenes from his Pathfinder game. The city shown here is called Bayerm, an expansive port town with three major factions: the Guilds of Sail, War, and Tome.
Sail: A merchant faction that has been flagging as of late. The death of a major member of the guild has struck a blow upon the spirits of the Guild of Sail, but they carry on despite such challenges.
War: Built on strength, force, and martial skill, the Guild of War is not a political powerhouse. They host the Bayerm Games, a series of gladiatorial fights for teams from each guild, and are beloved by the people of Bayerm.
Tome: A college for mages from all walks of life. As such, it is treated with fascinated caution by the ordinary folks of Bayerm, and shunned by the Imperial colleges of the neighboring empire.
