Original work inspired by 50/60′s jazz
Post this one to my main blog rather than my music blog, as I know I’ve posted it before. After going through and sort of cataloging my music (it was actually, with multiple versions and such, to the point where I had no idea how many even there were), it is a strange thing for me to realize that the one I like the best is actually an instrumental. Strange because I like to talk so much I guess. I almost felt like, “Who is that band?” Oh right, that band is me.
Lady In Black
When I feel lonely, I pull out a long cigarette, The thin wisp of smoke Trailing off in the night
Before I take the stage, Slow smooth jazz Pouring out of my voice Like honey, thick as love But they are all bees, Waiting to sting.
Saccharine tastes. Wine So sweet my lips refuse it, But the girl next door can’t So I take the glass and smile.
You need to be stronger. Voices of the past whisper, Leaving a thin wisp of smoke behind Trailing off in the night;
When I am like loneliness, I pull out my long cigarette, Expecting someone to say Why are you ruining yourself?
Just so I can tell them, It’s not ruin if you are willing And lonely is just a word.
So as I take the stage, Seductive slick jazz Flowing out of my voice, Like honey, thick as ruin But they are all bees,
Waiting to sting.

Jazzy...
My first youtube video of me playing the (alto) sax.
This is me jamming on "Amazing Grace", after being inspired by the devastation in Japan and hearing various renditions of this song in tribute to that event. I'll admit that it's not the best that I've done, but it's a start.
Enjoy! :)
