Kai Winding (May 18, 1922 - 1983) was a Danish-American jazz and pop trombone player, who played with Benny Goodman and Stan Kenton, after which he was present at The Birth of Cool (1949) w. Miles Davis’ nonet.
In the 1950s Winding teamed up with fellow trombone player J.J. Johnson on a number of duet records, and eventually he scored instrumental pop hits in the early ‘60s, such as “More” from the soundtrack of the film Mondo Cane (1962).
