Was scrolling through Reels on Instagram last night. Insomnia, same old bullshit. Then I stumble on this girl who runs her own burlesque show. Holy shiiiiit, it looked so fucking good, I couldn't stop watching. I was glued to the screen for like half an hour.

And here's the thing. None of the girls look the same. Not even close. Height, skin, age. Tattoos, piercings. There's no "one standard" — nobody gives a fuck. Some are in their 30s, some in their 40s. Some got curves, some got scars, some got boobs that don't look like porn. And you know what? Nobody's supposed to care — but they watch them with so much admiration it almost makes you jealous. Because every single one of them is a queen. Not 'cause she fits some bullshit checklist, but 'cause she got up there and put on a damn show. And you just sit there like... "Well, shit. Alright."

I love that these shows don't give a shit about your looks. You don't gotta be perfect. You just gotta be you — loud, bright, starving for the stage. That shit's inspiring. I watched and thought — why can't we all do that? Not apologize for our bodies, not suck in our stomachs, not hide our scars. Just step out and be.

So yeah. Mad respect. I might even go see one live someday. Just so I can stand the hell up and clap. 'Cause that shit deserves it.

Im so lucky to have been able to attend her show. The epitome of glitz and glamour. One more bucket list crossed off my list. Left with both of her books signed and goodies to take home for extra spice.Thxs @yourfool77 for an amazing night…
