A character you love that no one else seems to Ok so I know he’s a really popular character in other continuities, but I’m really partial to Perceptor from the G1 cartoon. He’s just so cute, even though he wasn’t in many episodes. That show was just so goofy that his personality seemed way more animated than in any other continuity, and I don’t see many fics/art with that version. Don’t get me wrong, I love IDW Percy too! But G1 cartoon Percy is my boy <3

as someone who is very on the sidelines as an appreciator but doesn’t-know-much abt Venom media, why do you wanna disregard the movie?

Honestly it just plain doesn’t interest me. Call me shallow but I’m not really that on board with a version of Venom who’s origin story is utterly divorced from Peter Parker/Spider-Man’s influence. Not that I think Spidey needs to be in the movie to make Venom themselves interesting, just...eehh. He’s kind of important to Venom’s character, and I’m having a hard time overlooking his absence from the backstory in that respect.

No shade at anyone who is interested in the movie and has had fun with it, obviously. It’s just not something I really care to see. And I’m only blacklisting it because I know me and I know the salt runs deep in my veins and that I’d be too easily tempted to get into Nerd Discourse(TM). And I don’t wanna do that or make anyone else feel bad for a thing they enjoy, that isn’t cool.

and i actually didn’t even rly notice percy until i read last stand and started thinkin about him, i was always more fond of rewind (who is like me. im a short gay historian)

percy’s just the kind of character who i like to think about and meta bc i think there’s a lot of interesting stuff going on with his character
