This is my jam lately.
Darkpebble-bluewave is pleased to present the first in three album previews for John Daly's solo album, "tonenote". "...the tone makes the music..." This album is full of tone I currently enjoy. The compositions are spontaneous improvisations. The accompanying sounds are a combination of semi randomly generated lines, generative software triggered by my input, loops captured while playing and delays. The only non guitar sound is a police radio live from internet scanner software on my phone and is played through the guitar pickup. When a track settles to a mood after a couple of minutes I listen, adding small artifacts at first and respond to and develop a movement through time. At this time I become detached from a conscious thought process and am immersed in the soundscape both driving and being driven to a resolution. I feel no urgency and am not concerned about duration. Pay (or not) as you wish here: https://darkpebble-bluewave.bandcamp.com/album/tonenote Thanks! Wilhelm Matthies, creative director, darkpebble-bluewave Paulo Chagas Matthias Boss John Daly
SO I WAS WORKING ON ONE SONG AND THEN I COMPOSED THIS LITTLE PIANO THINGY ON FL AND THEN I ADDED SOME DRUMS AND THEN I ADDED SOME GUITARS BECAUSE GUITARS ARE COOL AND THEN I THOUGHT "Hey you know what would be fun? Messing around with binaural panning filters" SO I DID THAT AND THEN THIS HAPPENED OH HEY IT'S ALMOST 3AM I think this is decent enough to call a song. Calling it Celestia's Lament because the song I was originally working on before this was about Sunbutt and Moonbutt and stuff. Expect that one soon-ish. For now have this. I don't know if the binaural filters added much of an effect, but I thought they sounded cool so YAKNOW. I'm going to sleep now. I have to be up for work in 6 hours. KBYE PS: Wear Headphones for the binaural bit. It's my first time actually fucking around with a binaural filter so sorry if it sucks. :I
