Q: Is it possible to fall in love with a projected image of someone versus the actual person themselves? If so, what's your take on it?

Sharing this social experiment I conducted last January 26, 2016 --

So I asked a few male friends a question and so far here's what I got from them. You guys tell me if I or them are making sense.. (At least)

Q: Is it possible to fall in love with a projected image of someone versus the actual person themselves? If so, what's your take on it?

CT: "Yes of course, It's possible. You are falling in love with an idea, but you find mediocrity in reality. We all wish everything was better. Just don't get stuck."

RS: "Yes of course, kasi yung personal expectations naten andun sa projected image nung tao. It's possible kasi they physical form talaga sometimes would be in the way of someone else's expectations. The fact that you're asking about it means regardless of physical attraction, you can go pretty deep pa rin in trying to know someone. Am I making sense?"

VG: "Yes, because love for me is Subjective. It's like when you have 2 suitors, one of which you like more than the other. The one you less like however loves you more.. In the end you'll still choose the one you like more because they 'fit the love' you want. Did I make sense?"

JD: "Yes it's possible. Sobra. Kasi most of the time, yung mga projected image naten (lalo na if we don't know them well enough) for me is Positive. So laging may 'ideal version' if them after the first meeting.. Until you get to know the person even more. So kung kakilala mo na pero one sided lang talaga at clueless yung other person, you still decide to love them none the less, edi ganon na lang yun. Kaya nga nauso yung friendzone dba?

AK: “Probably for a while but not really. Kasi if in love ka sa projected image lang, sooner or later marerealize mo that it's not enough. Versus the actual person where 'what you see is what you get' Just take it or leave it. Or.. You can really be in love with the idea of the actual person (good or bad) won't matter kasi.. 'wala eh, in love ka eh..'”
