Meaning J is for Julebryg (Christmas brew). J-day is the first friday in November (today!) where the beer company Tuborg starts selling their Christmas beer. Extra info In 1990 Tuborg announced the second wednesday in November to be known as J-day where they would release their Christmas beer. It since became tradition, and the date switched to friday since many students had trouble attending school the following thursday. It’s such a big tradition that the police is doing a lot more alcohol testing of drivers that night.
