srrsdhsh i just think hes interesting okay. at first i was kind of meh on him but honestly to me i think he put like more thought into his performance than the average UK actor for JD. also he really channels anxiety into his jd. probably one of my favourite moments is where you can actually hear him like. you can hear the clack of his gun and I think its sooo cool bc
the gun is not audible when he takes it out in most performances so the gun being audible is so cool :)
since mtby is kind of a peek into jd’s mind (idk i think the song takes place in his pov like how shine a light is in heather macs pov) and i think in that moment i imagine jd is js. palm sweaty as fcking hell. grappling for the gun and gripping it tightly to compensate for the fact that he just he nearly fumbled it out of his hands because he can barely think straight. the sound of the gun clacking is something loud and distruptive. and he notices it now because its different. it feels wrong. when he held the gun before while hunting kurt and ram it carried no more weight (in his mind and his hands) than of a birds song or of the leaves crunching below his feet and it felt right. but now its different. the gun is heavy in his palms and he raises it above his head and the sound of it clacking echoes in his mind, idk.
