Fluffy prompt 1 "Ohhhh you're jealous!" for romione 😩 (maybe jealous ron i love jealous ron)
Hey there, @auroron! Thanks for the ask. I decided to write this prompt from Harry's POV - after all, he's probably witnessed the brunt of Ron and Hermione's jealousy over the years 🤣 Hope you enjoy 💜
Here We Go Again
Harry Potter had hope that when his two best friends finally got together that the incessant fighting, nagging, and hostility would end.
Harry Potter soon discovers that he was wrong.
Very wrong.
“Who the fuck is that?”
Harry lets out a loud sigh, observing Ron glaring daggers over at Hermione standing beside an unfamiliar man with dark brown hair and a medium-build. They are standing in the atrium at the Ministry, waiting on Hermione so that they can apparate back to Grimmauld Place together after a lengthy day at work.
“That’s Roger Jenkins. He’s a new hire in the Magical Law department.”
Ron crosses his arms, squaring his body as if he is about to size up the poor bloke. “The fuck he is.”
“No, really," Harry rubs at the pesky scar on his forehead. "I think he started on Monday.”
“And what’s that bloody git doing hanging around my girlfriend?” Ron grumbles.
Despite the level of annoyance Harry often feels when it comes to Ron and Hermione, particularly Ron and Hermione going barmy over each other, he can’t help but grin when he realizes why Ron is so upset. "Ohhhh, you're jealous."
"Huh?" Ron mumbles, too distracted by Hermione's echoing laughter to even look at Harry.
“Seriously, Ron?” Honestly, these two sometimes. “You can’t really be jealous of him, right?”
Ron gives Harry a sour look and scoffs. “Jealous? Who said anything about being jealous? I’m taller than him.”
Harry can’t control his laughter over the way Ron puffs out his chest like he needs to prove something. He takes another glance at Hermione who, unsurprisingly, makes less than subtle shifts with her eyes towards the two men overtly gawking at her.
“You do realize that Hermione keeps looking over here every five seconds, right?”
“What?” Ron meets Harry’s eyes with furrowed brows before snapping his head back to the bushy-haired brunette. “No, she doesn’t.”
Harry lets out an obnoxious snort as he watches the next scene with high amusement. Hermione, who seems to have noticed Ron staring, fixes Ron with a dirty look, almost as if she is trying to knock him off his high hippogriff. Ron glowers back, refusing to lessen his intimidating stance.
“You just scowled at her!”
“So? She scowled at me first!”
These children. Harry shakes his head, taking a deep, audible breath. “And have you figured out yet, with that thick skull of yours, exactly why she keeps looking over here?”
“Just spit it out, mate.” Ron's impatience takes over, and Harry figures it’s no use trying to get him to solve the riddle any longer, despite the answer being as clear as a Demiguise in hiding.
“She’s trying to make you jealous. Just like you made her jealous yesterday.” Harry recalls the comical sight of Hermione in a fit of rage over Ron during lunch yesterday as she watched a flirty blonde fawn over her strong Auror boyfriend.
Realization dawns on Ron's face, and he rolls his head back with a groan. “Oh, bloody hell.”
Harry is about to advise Ron to let it go, when Ron stomps towards Hermione with purpose.
Oh, here we go again.
Harry vaguely hears Ron utter, “Don’t mind if I borrow my girlfriend, do you? Cheers, mate!”
Ron grabs Hermione by the elbow and pulls her gently away, and Harry doesn’t miss the small smile on Hermione’s face that she attempts to mask.
“Ron! What in the — where are you taking me?” She feigns annoyance. Harry’s going to need a new set of eyes by the time he’s done rolling them at these two.
“Away from here.”
“And why, may I ask?" Hermione interrogates with an air of hostility.
Ron stops just in front of Harry, and bends low to whisper in Hermione’s ear. Harry sees her eyes bulge out as her cheeks turn pink, and the way she is now biting her lip is enough for Harry to cringe and look away. He wishes Ginny wasn’t traveling with the Holyhead Harpies.
“Uh, mate, we’ll see you back at GP, okay?” Ron addresses Harry with a smirk, pulling Hermione away towards the gilded fireplaces.
“Yeah, okay,” Harry grumbles. He lets out a loud exhale, eyes scanning the room full of witches and wizards. He lands on Roger, who is still standing in his spot where Hermione left him, appearing thoroughly confused.
Harry meanders his way over to the bloke, and claps him on the back. “Come on. Let’s go for a drink at the Leaky, yeah?”
He deserves a pint after putting up with his two best friends. Besides, it’s not like he can or wants to go home right now, anyway.
Ron does not want to commit to Hermione, even after she begs for him to do so. When the Ministry brings out the marriage law, with the freedom of choosing who they want to marry, Hermione chooses to get married to Harry to make Ron believe what he’s missing out on and that she would not stick around forever. Hermione is oblivious of Harry’s feelings for her, and Harry doesn’t know anything about the relationship between Ron and Hermione. Through their marriage, Hermione unknowingly falls in love with Harry, but continues to try and make Ron jealous. One day, Harry finds out about Hermione marrying him only to spite Ron instead of liking him as more than a friend, and confronts her. Ron would also be there when the truth comes out. Ron makes some excuse for not committing to be in a relationship with Hermione and then calls her names (whore and other hurtful stuff). Hermione cries, Harry stands up for her (as always). After Ron leaves, Hermione tells Harry that she fell in love with him during the time they were married. They decide to take a holiday somewhere, away from everyone, where they can figure out their feelings. And the story goes on with how they rekindle their spark, and their married life.

Harry, realizing Ron seems to covet the things he has, feigns interest in a girl to draw Ron's eye to her. Once Ron goes after the other girl, Harry makes his move on Hermione.
@harmony-heaven
Ron is jealous and mean toward Hermione because he wants Harry for himself. He may or may not be in denial. He probably wouldn't even understand why he covets Harry to such a great degree. -nikkistew2 (Nichole Stewart)

Harry and Hermione sleep together in the tent. Canon continues on, and Hermione ends up with Ron, despite her time with Harry. When she finds out she's pregnant, she needs to decide how to tell her two best friends.

What would have happened had Harry escorted Hermione to the Slug Club during 6th year instead of Cormac? How would it change their relationship? How would it change the course of the war?
