Team Sol 🌦️
Ahh them as family, nothing can go wrong right? 😊🔥
this is why we're still fighting!
Renew the Acolyte
also why i won't hear anything about how "the petition won't work" because:
that's what the incels are saying to lower morale
it obviously works or else these incels wouldn't make 6 counter petitions
the sheer number of signatures alone is why the media take notice of the campaign (to renew a supposedly unpopular show) and start calling out disney & LF for not protecting their POC and queer talents
please sign if you haven't and share if you can
there are more ways to be loud about this cancellation/renewal (that's the title of episode 1 of s2; i'm calling it now lol), and i will try to share it soon.
I just wanted to rant about a subtle, clever bit of world building at the end of episode 4 of The Acolyte.
Spoilers ahead.
At the end of the episode, Jecki turns to see Darth Teeth/Cavity approaching.
She says “what is that?”
Not “who is that?” Or “who’s there?”
“What is that?”
I think this adds to the idea that the Jedi have no clue that something like a Sith Lord or a dark side force user can exist. When she sees someone in a mask, dark and clearly force sensitive, she doesn’t even register it as a person. She’s become so accustomed to the idea that force users must be aligned with the light. Per some of the advertising, Jecki is canonically a studious, knowledgeable person.
The fact that she sees thing thing and doesn’t even register the possibility that it’s a person tells the viewer so much about the Jedi beliefs surrounding the dark side and force users. It reinforces why the appearance of Darth Teeth/Cavity is so shocking. It’s literally some unimaginable to them that a person so connected to the dark side could exist.
Acolyte I love you.
Edit: I have now watched Episode 5.
ACOLYTE WHEN I CATCH YOU
Obi wan and Sol deserve a smoke tea break together and bonding over their troubling padawans, Jecki and Ahsoka are having a girl's night out, Yord and Anakin.....on the other hand, idk you tell me 🫠🫠
