On Saturday, June 3rd, I’ll be part of a show at Machine House Brewery celebrating the reissue of Marc Barreca’s 1983 electronic album Music Works for Industry. RVNG Intl. is creating new pressings of obscure electronic albums, while curating visual artists to create work inspired by the music, and Seattle interdisciplinary artist Satpreet Kahlon and I were each selected to create work in response to Music Works for Industry. I’ll be debuting two large-scale original drawings along with some animation, and the show will feature live performances by Marc Barreca, Rosen, and Jed Bindeman. Swing by if you can! Helen - “Motorcycle”

Back in 2013, Grouper’s Liz Harris released a fuzz-pop single with a trio called Helen, also featuring Jed Bindeman of Eternal Tapestry and Scott Simmons of Eat Skull. Now, they've announced their debut album. It's called The Original Faces, it was recorded over several years in Portland, and it's out on Harris’ regular label Kranky on September 4. Listen to its lead single, "Motorcycle," below.

Eternal Tapestry is on a mini-West Coast tour right now! Two more dates (tonight at Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco with Life Coach and Heron Oblivion, tomorrow in Davis at the Third Space Art Collective) to go, and then the band plays Austin Psych Fest in May before taking off on a European tour!
