I'm not sure if Welcome to Night Vale would be your cup of tea or not, but it does have some elements of horror and it's available on iTunes and Podbay I believe.

// haha Welcome to Nightvale was what I listened to on a loop before I switched over to the nosleep podcast. I love that show, but also one episode a month is not enough free me.  I still love that show though, it’s so good.

                  it is indeed a MIRACLE that they don’t tumble with the uneven distribution of weight. artie himself is UNBALANCED with his own dose of INTOXICATION, sweet honey bourbon burning his tongue. when he reaches to catch the falling man, he can’t help but LAUGH, far before hands were even on him. those fingers at his sides only increase such rare laughter ; he grips the other’s arms to try and stop him, flailing in his seat as his soft chuckles bubbled into full blown joy. “ r-revenge ?! ” their foreheads touch and he giggles, unable to contain himself with the repetition of the other’s fingers. hands slide up the arms to rest at the other’s shoulders ; he touches the man’s neck a moment and gasps, breath stuttering still. “ -- d-darling !! okay, i s-surrender !! you win !! ”

            Despite his endless list of achievements and his countless, gleaming medals, currently, the most honorable General Brendol Hux II of the First Order... found himself gasping for breath, struggling to keep up as he trailed after his hulking, brutish companion, with his sniper rifle tossed haphazardly over his back.

            With a frustrated growl, Hux broke into an awkward half-jog just to stay by the other man’s side. 

            ❝ Ren, wait! ❞ he practically whined, absolutely hating the sound of his own voice at that very moment,  ❝ I-I just... I... ❞

            He couldn’t admit that he was tired. He wouldn’t. 

            ❝ I have... sand. In my boots. Before we continue on our way... I simply insist that I be allowed the opportunity to empty them out. So... let us stop for a moment, shall we? ❞

            In truth, Hux needed more than just a moment; he needed a good standard hour to catch his breath and have something to eat.

                  he’s not DRUNK, but the buzz gives a nice tingle to crawl down his spine and he is SMILING, a sight FORGOTTEN by those who’ve known him LONG ENOUGH. the way his lips twitch UPWARD seem as if he’s just discovered the expression ; he drinks MORE and laughs, thinking if he kept it up, he’d start to FEEL just as HAPPY as he looked too. 

                  “ cheer up, buddy -- ” what a hypocrite, for calling the other OUT and neglecting his own sorrows. “ drink’s on ME. ”
