Holiday
Summary: Throughout your mini holiday in Miami with your boyfriend Jeff, he realizes just how special you and your relationship are.
Word Count: 2.3k
Warning: Tooth rotting fluff, mention of alcoholism and Jeff’s accident
A/N This is also inspired by KSI’s song Holiday!
I wanna wake up every mornin', feelin' better
'Cause I know you're sleeping by my side
And every moment we're together
I remember just to keep it all for you and I
Jeff’s brown eyes slowly open, being awoken by a crying baby that was a few rows behind you two. He lets out a yawn before looking over at you who were fast asleep on his shoulder.
Something that not a lot of people knew was that Jeff hated flying despite being a certified skydiver. Ever since he was younger he was never a fan of flying, only now he was a bit more comfortable with it due to his experience skydiving. Nevertheless his initial nerves after waking up quickly wash away just from being in your presence.
Wanting to capture this seemingly perfect moment, Jeff slowly grabs his phone out of his pocket without disturbing you and takes a quick picture. As he analyzes the picture his heart swells at how at peace and comfortable you looked sleeping on him and in one of his sweaters. The two of you were extremely tired from catching a red eye flight to Miami so no wonder why you both fell asleep.
Saving the picture Jeff puts his phone away and slowly opens the blind of your window seat. The rising sun shines into your row, the rays illuminating your face making your features and long lashes more prominent. The purpose of the trip to Miami was to watch the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather fight. In fact you were ecstatic when Jeff told you he got you guys tickets to the event since you grew up watching boxing with your family and you were a huge fan of Mayweather. With that being said you had no idea how close the tickets Jeff got were to the ring.
Jeff’s breath hitches as he admires you. He was so in love with you and was so excited to see your reaction to being ringside. As Jeff softly moves some stray hairs out of your face he realizes everything he does is for the benefit for not only you, but your relationship as well. It was you two against the world.
I see that body in the sunlight
Feelin' the heat and it feels right
I wanna do this for the rest of my life
“I know you guys are dating and all, but you seriously need to stop staring before you sink the boat with your drool.” Mike Maijlak says walking over to Jeff’s side and handing him a La Croix.
Jeff booked your mini holiday to last a few days before and after the fight which gave you guys the opportunity to explore Miami and let lose. With that being said neither of you were going to turn down Mike’s invite to join him on a yacht to party. So there you were talking and dancing with some girls you knew from LA while sipping on a La Croix.
Jeff lets out a laugh while opening one of his favourite drinks. “I can’t help it man, just look at her.” He says taking a sip of the bubbly liquid while continuing to admire you from afar.
The Miami sun that shined onto your skin paired with your infectious laugh, seemingly gave you a golden glow that made you standout. Not only that, but the bikini that you were wearing flattered your body type so well.
After feeling as if someone was staring at you for the past few minutes you finally turn and look around the boat to find the owner of the eyes that were on you. Quickly your eyes find Jeff’s brown ones and you realize it was just Jeff staring at you the whole time, causing heat to wash over your body at his gaze.
You shoot him a smirk and wink in return before turning back around to continue your conversation. A smirk of his own falls upon Jeff’s face as you do so, along with a light shade of pink on his cheeks.
“You’re so whipped.” Mike laughs shaking his head, finally speaking up after watching the whole interaction.
“Well I wanna be whipped for her for the rest of my life then.” Jeff says without realizing how big of a statement that was while his eyes remained on your beautiful figure.
Oh, I know, I know, you know the vibe
I wanna stay with you every night
You and me underneath the lights
I'm always good when you're by my side
I know, you know you're on my mind
You really make me come alive
I wanna be here for the rest of my life
“Jeff look at my hands I’m literally shaking I can’t believe we’re this close!” You exclaim while glancing between your boyfriend and the boxing ring in front of you.
“Only the best for you doll.” He says sending you a wink while laughing. For the past hour and a half as you two watched the undercards you continued to gush about your seats making Jeff happy to see you happy.
Without wasting another second you roughly grab Jeff by his green shirt and pull him in for a passionate kiss. Just before the brunette could immerse himself into it fully you pull away. Some of your lipstick was smudged and Jeff knew without a doubt he had some on his lips, but he didn’t care. In that moment it truly seemed as if you two were the only ones there under the rings bright lights and in an arena full of screaming fans while you two stared into each others eyes lovingly.
Your attention on your boyfriend is torn away when the already loud arena becomes even louder as Mayweather starts to walk out. Quickly you start to cheer for your favourite boxer while jumping up and down and clapping excitedly. Jeff glances between you and the boxing legend before his gaze finally lands on you.
You look over at your boyfriend with a smile that was from ear to ear. “It’s Floyd fucking Mayweather!” You exclaim pointing over to the undefeated boxer entering the ring.
A smile washes over Jeff’s face as he laughs at your excitement. You truly resembled a child in a toy store. Seeing your excitement only made Jeff more excited, causing him to join in on cheering for Mayweather despite being friends with Logan.
There was no one else Jeff would rather be with to witness the fight and this thought only made him realize he wants to be by your side for the rest of his life.
Looking for sun rays, needin' them good days
Fly me away-away, you're my holiday
Cool like the ocean, lost in emotion
Fly me away-away, you're my holiday
Whenever you're here it's a good time
Strawberry shirts in the sunshine
Ice-cold drinks 'til the moonlight
You're my holiday
Whenever you're here it's a good time
Strawberry shirts in the sunshine
Ice-cold drinks 'til the moonlight
You're my holiday
The next few days after the fight was a whirlwind, but in a good way. Despite having a good time underneath the Miami sun and it’s nightlife Jeff wouldn’t be having as good of a time if you weren’t there. You truly made the trip for him, making the sunny days that were good for his mental health even better and the dreary days full of life from your infectious positivity and smile.
You let out a loud laugh as you and Jeff wrap your arms around each others, mimicking a toast before brining your drink to your lips while your boyfriend did the same. At the same time you two sip at your virgin drinks while maintaining eye contact with each other in the close position. You gulp down the rest of your cold drink despite it being alcohol free before untangling your arm with Jeff’s and ordering another at the outside bar.
Over the past four years of knowing Jeff the two of you created a special connection that no one in your friend group had with each other. And that was being sober. Jeff turned to alcohol after his break up with his ex girlfriend while you on the other hand turned to it to deal with the death of your mom. To say you were there for each other was an understatement. When the temptation to drink was too much Jeff would call you up and the two of you would go on late night hikes and talk about everything and anything, and vice versa for you. There was always a mutual pining for one another, but neither of you acted on it due to how broken you both were at the time. However, as the years went by your feelings only intensified along with Jeff’s. Though it wasn’t until a few months after Jeff’s accident when he took a leap of faith and finally confessed his feelings to you after realizing how short life truly was.
Jeff places his glass on the bar as well, placing his hand on the small of your back while looking around the crowded club that was partly inside and partly outside. Once you get a refill of your drink you turn around sipping on the paper straw, your back leaning against the bar causing Jeff to redirect his attention back to you.
“You look beautiful.” He says looking down at you in his arms.
Heat washes over your face and Jeff’s smile widens at how flustered you still got after all this time together. He loved showering you in words of affirmation and he meant every thing he said to you. Although, you always look beautiful the way the moonlight reflected off of your skin made you look angelic. It was a great contrast to you earlier in the day at the beach wearing a strawberry printed bikini that made Jeff feel a certain way.
“Thank you baby you don’t look too bad yourself.” You say placing a soft peck on Jeff’s lips before pulling him towards the dance floor.
I wanna stay up 'til the mornin' with you talkin'
Just to listen to the things you say
And every time we're in the middle of the city
I imagine us so far away
The two of you sat down in a booth with Mike Majilak and Logan Paul at a random Denny’s that was in between your hotel and the club you four were previously partying at. By now the jet lag and the numerous activities you and Jeff participated in was starting to catch up to you. However, that wasn’t apparent to anyone other than Jeff as you talked the boys ears off while eating.
“We’ll see you guys later! And once again Y/N text me when you’re free to film an episode of ImPaulsive.” Logan says as him and Mike get out of the booth, placing money on the table and getting ready to leave the restaurant.
“Of course!” You exclaim before picking up your lemonade and drinking what was left. Jeff bids his goodbyes to the two influencers and once they leave you quickly rest your head on his broad shoulder, letting out a loud sigh.
“You okay doll?” Jeff asks placing his hand on your thigh.
“Yea just tired.” You say kissing his neck and placing your hand on his cheek. Similar to Jeff you were able to pick up on the energy of situations and that affected how you acted. So once Mike and Logan left you felt as if you could finally wind down from their partying aura.
A comforting silence falls upon you two and your eyes slowly flutter close as the rising sun shines in through the Denny’s windows. As cliche as it sounded Jeff felt as if it was only you two in the quiet breakfast place. The brunette rests his head against yours and his eyes follows your lead by shutting close.
The two of you remain in this position for a few minutes, cherishing not only the first quiet moment of the trip, but also the little moments you two shared.
Ooh, ooh
Ooh, you're my holiday
Scratching at his eyes and stretching Jeff slowly and quietly gets out of bed, the sun filtering in through the hotels curtains and onto your sleeping body. You looked so peaceful and he didn’t want to disturb that. Once you guys returned to your hotel room from a night out partying and a very early breakfast at Denny’s the two of you instantly fell asleep.
Jeff glances at the analogue clock on the bedside table which read 2:34pm before he slips on a pair of pants and a t-shirt. Making sure to not wake you Jeff grabs his phone, wallet and room key then quietly leaves your shared room. However, before he leaves he makes sure to place a gentle kiss on your forehead and whisper to you how much he loves you.
Throughout the trip he was constantly reminded of how much he loved you. You helped him through some of the darkest times in his life and after all this time of knowing and being together Jeff finally knew what he had to do.
Remembering a shop that was a few buildings away from your hotel, Jeff quickly walks over to it wanting to be back before you woke up. The Staten Island native hands become clammy as he approaches the store, his tough guy persona seemingly crashing down with every step he took.
The bell above the shops door dings as Jeff walks in causing a sales representative to walk over to him with a welcoming smile.
“Good afternoon how can I help you?” She asks. Jeff takes a look around the quaint shop and all of the glass casings before redirecting his attention back to the worker.
“Hi uh yea, I was wondering if you guys have any engagement rings?”
usually i would say queerbaiting doesn’t exist with real people and real people don’t owe you an explanation . but jeff’s title on the new podcast “am i gay?” is … wrong . he’s obviously not gay … so don’t try to get views to make money saying “you’re gay” when you’re not . sorry not sorry . profiting off of something like that is wrong .
I loved that episode, I love when it’s just the boys hanging out like normal and it feels like you’re just sat with them on a normal Friday night lol 😭
I love Ryan and I feel bad he got a bit pissed off in the middle lmao
And I actually love the whole Cherdleys crew I don’t really watch a lot of their skits (unless Jeff is in them lol) but as people they gel with Jeff and the group so well
Jeff and Kyle’s sister and mum at the beginning 🥺 I’m soft
Summary: You loved playing matchmaker for your friends and that was no exception for your best friend Jeff. However, unbeknownst to you there was a reason as to why Jeff wasn’t interested in the girls you seemingly threw at him.
Request: i know you don't take requests but for the future probably? Hehe. maybe u can also make one with Jeff being in love with the reader (best/close friends) and she keeps on setting him up w other girls until he finally confesses his feelings

Warnings: mention of abusive relationships
“What about her?” You ask Jeff while turning your phone towards him while resting your head on his chest. He simply shakes his head no at the picture of one of your friends with an amused smile. Currently you two sat on the couch in your shared living room while you sorted through your single friends and acquaintances in hopes of Jeff being interested in one of them.
“Ugh Jeff I’m running out of friends!” You exclaim throwing your phone onto the couch and falling into his lap dramatically, causing him to laugh at your antics before his hands instinctively find their way to your hair.
“I don’t understand. We’ve been friends for years now you would think I know your type.” You say feigning frustration while your eyes flutter close at the feeling of your best friends fingers delicately playing with your hair.
Jeff simply looks down at you in his lap with love and admiration. If only you knew his ‘type’ was in fact you. If truth be told you were actually the blueprint of his type, every girl that he’s ever been interested in after meeting you has resembled you in some way. Yes, Jeff would go on some of the dates you would set up for him, but he only did that to appease you. His mind would always drift back to you throughout them anyways.
Despite trying to set Jeff up with seemingly every girl you know it was a way for you to ignore your feelings for your best friend. Your crush on Jeff seemingly stemmed from wishful thinking. You’ve been single for the past five years, not wanting to get into another relationship because of your ex-boyfriend who physically and emotionally abused you. You knew Jeff would never hurt you, but relationships were hard for you. After all you were conditioned for years to believe no one would ever love you as much as your ex did and that’s one of the reasons why you continued to push your feelings for Jeff away.
Suddenly your phone buzzes and you quickly grab it, your eyes lighting up when you see the message on the screen. “Angelica! The girl you said was pretty texted me back and said she’s interested in going on a date with you!” You squeal sitting up with excitement while simultaneously showing Jeff your phone.
“Tell her I’ll take her out on February 30th.” Jeff says standing up and walking over to the kitchen to get a water ready for his hike, you seemingly ignoring the sadness in his voice.
Your thumbs excitedly tap against the screen of your phone, writing a message back to Angelica. However, as Jeff closes the door leaving the apartment without a goodbye you realize Jeff’s statement meant he wasn’t interested. Ultimately causing you to delete the message and leave your friend on read with a scoff.

Although you were a grown adult you seemingly never grew out of your fear of thunderstorms. And tonight was no different. If anything your dismay only increased with every passing second due to the fact it was the worst storm LA has had in months.
Rolling over onto your side you hide yourself with your comforter while plugging your ears. A shiver of fear runs down your spine when the thunder crashed outside.
Instinctively you wanted to run to Jeff’s room like you always did when it was storming out or when you simply couldn’t sleep. However, ever since this morning your best friend had been acting stand offish which was so unlike him. Deciding not to agitate him you gave Jeff some space while simultaneously wondering what you did wrong for him to be a bit cold towards you.
From underneath your covers you could see a bright lightning strike flash outside before a particularly loud bang of thunder rang out throughout the town. “Fuck this.” You say to yourself quickly getting out of bed with your comforter wrapped around your body then moving quickly to Jeff’s room.
After hearing a knock on his bedroom door Jeff looks up from scrolling on his phone to the doorframe of his room where you stood. His heart rate instantly increased at the sight of you and a small smile appeared on his face seeing you wear your white duvet as a comfort blanket.
“Jeffrey are you mad at me?” You ask taking full advantage of the fact that you were one of the only people other than his mom that was allowed to call him by his first name.
“No. Why would I be mad at you?” He asks, but you pick up on his lying tone at the end of his sentence.
“I don’t know.” You shrug. “You’ve just been acting distant all day so I wanted to give you space, but if you couldn’t tell I’m basically shiting myself right now because of the storm.”
Jeff let’s out a laugh causing you to smile at the sound you loved so much. “Come’re.” He simply says moving the blanket on the other side of the bed for you.
Without hesitating you close the bedroom door, drop your comforter and run over to Jeff’s side with a huge smile on your face. Jeff sets his phone aside and lays on his side with his head in his hand while looking at you lovingly. As you sat in front of him with your legs folded he couldn’t help, but realize how much he loved seeing you in his clothes. Although you had a closet full of your own you always found yourself stealing Jeff’s sweaters or shirts and as you sat there in his crewneck that looked like a dress on you he fell even more in love with you.
“Hi.” You sheepishly say. Whenever you came to Jeff in the middle of the night because of a storm or a nightmare or you simply couldn’t sleep you felt awkward and guilty for intruding his space. However, Jeff thought it was adorable how you were acting shy around him despite being friends with him for years.
“Hi.” He says back with an amused smile on his face.
Just as you were about to mention how disappointed your friend Angelica was about Jeff turning her down a huge bang of thunder roars outside causing you to basically dive into Jeff’s chest. The brunette starts laughing at your reaction while instinctively wrapping his arms around you before pulling you closer to him.
“Stop laughing at me, Wittek.” You huff while pulling the comforter over you two and snuggling into Jeff’s chest.
The two of you remain in this position as a silence falls upon you guys. Nothing could be heard other than the storm brewing outside and the sound of Jeff’s steady, but fast heartbeat in your ear.
Just as you feel your eyes beginning to get heavier Jeff speaks, “I’m sorry for being weird and distant today.”
“It’s okay. What was bothering you though? I swear if youtube took down another one of your videos I will send them another very angry email.” You sassily say while jumping to conclusions as to what could possibly be upsetting Jeff.
“No it’s not that.” Jeff laughs while internally debating whether he should say what he was about to say next. “It’s about this girl though.”
Your eyes widen at Jeff’s statement while simultaneously making your heart rate increase and palms to become clammy. You two told each other everything so who was this girl he was talking about? Although you were confused as to why he’s never mentioned this girl before another part of you filled with hurt. It took everything in you to not retreat back to your room as your hopes of Jeff reciprocating your feelings diminished. Instead, however you remained put, deciding to listen to Jeff and be happy for him.
“What girl?”
“I’ve known her for a few years now and as the years go on my feelings for her keep growing.” He gushes. When Jeff left the apartment that morning he went on a hike with Todd. While on the hike the boys had one of their deep life talks and Todd encouraged Jeff to confess his feelings to you. However, Jeff couldn’t wrap his mind around you feeling the same simply because you try to set him up with other girls all the time.
Nevertheless, what was the final push for Jeff was a fan made video Todd showed him which was titled “Jeff Wittek and Y/N Y/L/N being in love with each other for 11 minutes straight.” The compilation consisted of videos of you two in vlogs to being secretly recorded by your friends who would later post the video to their millions of followers. As Jeff watched one thing became apparent and it was that you two were obliviously in love with each other. This whole time Jeff thought you were the oblivious one to his feelings, but turns out he didn’t pick up on yours.
Your eyebrows furrow and you sit up out of Jeff’s grasp, the storm now being background noise. “Who? Do I know her?” You ask genuinely confused. All of your friends were mutual friends so you had to know her.
Jeff looks at you amused. Although you were trying not to show it Jeff could tell you were panicked which only confirmed his suspicions of you reciprocating his feelings.
“Yea. You actually do.” Jeff says grabbing your hand and swiping his thumb gently across your soft skin. This sudden confession caused your heart to drop at the thought Jeff had feelings for one of your friends while his touch ironically eased your nerves at the same time.
“Who Jeff?” You ask before swallowing the lump in your throat. The nerves you were feeling were so consuming that you didn’t realize how close he was to you now.
With his other hand Jeff caresses your cheek, moving stray hairs out of the way with his fingers. His eyes pan up from your lips and up to your eyes while he swipes he tongue across his lip, your faces now just mere inches away from each other.
“Well for starters she’s super oblivious to how I feel considering she always tries to set me up with her friends.” Your breath hitches and you glance down at Jeff’s lips before searching for clarity of what he was saying was the truth. His chocolate eyes bore into yours and the way he was looking at you confirmed that he was in fact telling the truth. “And she also so happens to be sitting in front of me right now.”
Without giving it a second thought you eliminate the space between you two and your lips mesh together perfectly. Jeff instantly kisses back, pulling you closer by the nape of your neck. Your hand finds it’s way to Jeff’s bicep and as you pull away you lightly bite Jeff’s lip discreetly turning him on.
You two simply stare at each other in amazement, the warm glow from the lamp on Jeff’s bedside table being the only light illuminating your faces. Jeff pulls you in for another kiss before pulling away to analyze your face once again.
Your face was hot not only from the kiss, but how Jeff was looking at you. “What?” You ask biting your lip, trying not to smile.
“I just wish that I did that a lot sooner.” He says mirroring the smile on your face.
Summary: In which Jeff deals with the repercussions of not acting on his feelings towards reader.
Word Count: 3.7k
Warnings: angst, drinking and swear words.
You couldn’t help yourself, but to giggle while you made dinner for Jeff, Jonah and yourself. The sound of your laugh causes Jeff to look up from his barbers station and over to you, a smile appearing on his face at the sound of it.
“What’s so funny?”
“Just thinking about yours and Jonah’s bits.” You state. Jeff just finished filming a barbershop episode with Bryce Hall, but by now the crew and Bryce were long gone.
Jeff smiles to himself as he puts his multiple hair clippers away. Even though you told Jeff and Jonah from the beginning you didn’t want to be in any of the episodes you always found yourself being in them anyway. Whether that be you doing the boys hair for an episode to having your witty remarks and contagious laugh be heard in every video.
Little did you know though, there was a reason why you were such a consistent guest on the show. This reason being the developing feelings both Jeff and Jonah harbored for you. Despite both boys openly flirting with you in seemingly every episode you were in you still remained oblivious to their feelings. However, as time went on unbeknownst to either Jeff or Jonah you started to reciprocate feelings for Jeff. You loved Jonah, but he was more like a brother to you than anything.
As more episodes of you appearing in were published to YouTube it was clear to not only the fans, but to Jeff as well what was happening. Fans constantly pointed out that it was obvious there was a love triangle going on whether it be a bit or not. They concluded this from all of the clips of both boys openly flirting with you along with all of the longing stares they gave you. It made Jeff giddy to know you most likely felt the same way about him the way he felt about you, but he never acted on it. He couldn’t do that to Jonah especially with how obvious it was the boy was in love with you.
“What’re ya making?” Jeff asks walking into the kitchen and peering over your shoulder after finally cleaning up his station. Jonah looks up from his phone from his spot at the kitchen’s island and he can feel his stomach drop at the proximity of you two. He watches as you pick up the spoon you were using to stir and allowed Jeff to taste the homemade tomato sauce for the spaghetti you were making.
“Tastes like what my ma makes, maybe even better, but don’t let her know I said that.” Jeff compliments causing heat to rush to your face and ears as he smiles at your reaction. This seemingly wholesome interaction between you two gets cut short by Jonah coughing and standing up.
“I’m not feeling spaghetti tonight I’m gonna eat out instead.” He says pushing his chair in underneath the island before walking out of his apartment without saying another word.
You look over at Jeff confused, but he just looks down at the ground not knowing what to say while slowly moving away from you. Jeff knew why Jonah was upset. After all Jonah has told him many times he likes you and Jeff did go a little over board with the flirting with you in today’s episode.
“That was weird. What was that about?” You ask Jeff as he sits down at the island and pulls his phone out to text Jonah. Jonah loved your cooking and never missed an opportunity to have some.
Jeff shrugs his shoulders and puts his phone away. “He’s been stressed lately, I don’t know why.” He lies. “We should move up to my apartment he’s gonna probably want to be alone when he gets back.”
“Poor Jonah, I hope he can relax.” You pout while you turn off the stove to bring the food you were cooking up to Jeff’s. The brunette helps you, but can’t help but to feel guilty at your obliviousness. Jeff loved flirting with you after all his feelings for you were strong, but he felt bad for his best friend. It was obvious you didn’t reciprocate Jonah’s feelings let alone were you aware of them.
The two of you carefully maneuver up to Jeff’s apartment with kitchen towels underneath the hot pots so neither of you would burn yourselves. As you get back into the groove of cooking again Jeff turns his stereo on, the Beatles echoing throughout the apartment.
Ever since Jonah seemingly stormed off earlier Jeff has been acting kind of stand offish which you couldn’t help but to notice. However, as each Beatles track played he started to return back to his playful self and your laughs of encouragement egged him on to continue singing along horribly to the music.
After an intense performance of Jeff playing the air guitar and singing to Helter Skelter Come Together came on, making you squeal. That was your go to song for karaoke night. Jeff smiles at you as you grab a ladle and start to sing into it as if it was a microphone.
“He got hair down to his knees. He got to be a joker, he just do what he please.” You horribly sing out while slowly moving your hips back and forth while slowly making your way down to your knees in front of Jeff.
You continue your performance while Jeff tries his hardest to not let his mind wander due to the position you were in.
“One thing I can tell you, you just got to be free.” You sing getting up fast while shaking your head back and forth to the beat of the song. As you fully immerse yourself into your performance Jeff laughs at you with loving eyes, but he is interrupted from watching when his phone buzzes in his pocket.
It was a text from Jonah. “You know my feelings towards Y/N the least you can do is not flirt with her around me.”
Suddenly a wave of guilt washes over Jeff. The moment Jeff met you he could feel the spark between you two and just as he was about to tell Jonah how he was feeling about you he beat Jeff to it and started gushing about you the next time Jonah saw Jeff. This resulted in Jeff never opening up to his best friend to let him know he had feelings for you as well.
“What’s wrong?” You furrow your eyebrows while watching Jeff sit down at his dinning table with an upset facial expression.
Jeff quickly sends out an “I’m sorry” text to Jonah before putting his phone away and nervously running his fingers through his hair. “Nothin.”
Furrowing your eyebrows even more you put down the ladle and make your way over to Jeff, wrapping your arms around his broad shoulders from behind. “Seriously what’s up?”
“Nothin Y/N.” Jeff says standing up abruptly and gently pushing you off of him, causing your heart to drop.
“Yea okay.” You sassily say back while returning to the stove to cook, the playful mood ruined. There was now an unwanted awkward tension in the air that both you and Jeff felt, but neither of you knew what to say.
Finally Jeff speaks up, not really wanting to say what he was about to, but he felt like he owed it to Jonah to. “Y/N I think you should give Jonah a shot.”
You slowly turn around from the stove to look at Jeff with a confused expression etched onto your face. “What?”
“You guys have so much in common and click well. You guys could be a solid couple.”
Your heart sank initially thinking Jeff didn’t reciprocate your feelings, but the way he was looking everywhere, but you while saying this had you thinking otherwise. “Where is this coming from?” You ask starting to connect the dots and stepping closer to Jeff who doesn’t move away this time.
He remains silent.
“Jeff? Does Jonah have feelings for me?”
Jeff simply nods his head yes as if it was hurting him to say that. He didn’t want you to find out this way. After all, it should be up to Jonah to tell you when he’s ready, but from what Jeff just said he had no choice to tell you.
You let out a sigh. This was not how things were supposed to happen. “I feel bad, but I don’t feel the same for him.” You say inching closer to Jeff. His heartbreaks for Jonah, but he can’t help but selfishly feel hopeful that he may get a chance with you.
“Do you know who I do have feelings for?” You ask placing your hand on Jeff’s chest while a spike of confidence flows through you. Jeff’s breath catches in his throat when you get closer to him, but he instinctively melts into your touch.
“Who Y/N?” He stutters out, nervous that you were going to say Todd or some shit. Jeff wasn’t typically a nervous person, but when it came to you and his strong feelings for you he was.
You roll your eyes at his obliviousness. “You for fuck’s sake. I thought it was obvious.”
A blush and smile washes over Jeff’s face as he looks down at you, but his smile quickly disappears when he remembers Jonah. Seeing his reaction makes you release an annoyed sigh. Although you were oblivious to Jonah’s feelings and sometimes got in your head about Jeff there was no denying he felt the same for you. You just knew he did.
“We can’t do this to Jonah.”
Rolling your eyes you move away from Jeff. The confidence that you had was now annoyance. From the moment you became friends with the two boys you learned that Jonah had a track record of seemingly liking every girl Jeff liked as well. Ultimately causing Jeff to step back so Jonah could have a shot. Yes, Jeff’s being a good friend, but you were sick and tired seeing Jeff’s happiness be put on the line for a guy who wouldn’t do the same for him.
“I know you feel what I feel. I’ve felt it the moment we met two years ago. For the love of everything good stop denying your feelings and finally own up to them for once! You have let Jonah stop you from being happy for so long now. Advocate for yourself Jeff, be selfish for once in your life cause I know you want this as much as I do!”
Jeff looks at you with wide eyes. He was happy that you finally confessed your feelings for him, but he didn’t see this outburst coming even though he knows every word you said was true.
“I can’t Jonah’s my best friend.”
You internally groan, getting even more agitated that Jeff wasn’t seeing what you were seeing. “I understand that, he’s my friend too, but given the opportunity he would push you to the side if that meant he had a shot. I’m not asking you to drop him. I’m asking you to allow yourself to be happy for once.” You say rolling your eyes before turning back to the food cooking on the stove that you seemingly abandoned.
The tension in the air was now thicker than before and Jeff felt awkward in his own apartment. A few minutes go by and he finally speaks up. “Y/N look at me.”
You look over at him with an unimpressed expression, but you notice how close he’s gotten to you. Jeff grabs your hand and starts to gently rub his thumb across the back of it. “You’re right. I do have feelings for you.” He says inching closer to you, causing your heart rate to speed up.
“Then act like it.” You say looking up into his beautiful brown eyes.
Without hesitating Jeff pulls you to his chest by your hand before smashing his lips against yours and caressing your cheek with his free hand. Automatically you kiss back, placing your hand on the nape of his neck while deepening the kiss.
You were the first to pull away, but you rest your forehead against his. “Wow.” That was probably the best kiss you’ve ever had.
Jeff’s cheeks were flushed red and you knew he felt the butterflies from the kiss as well. You two stare into each others eyes seemingly relishing in the moment before guilt begins to wash over Jeff’s face as he realizes what he just did.
“What?” You ask backing away concerned.
He sighs and scratches at his beard. “I want this as much as you do, but I can’t for Jonah’s sake.”
You close your eyes and let out a deep breathe at his words, trying your best to control your emotions. He just said the last thing you wanted to hear. Without saying another word you walk by the brunette and to the front door where you put on your shoes and grab your purse.
“Where are you goin?”
“I’m sorry Jeff, but I can’t be friends with you especially after that kiss. My feelings are just going to keep growing and there’s no point in torturing myself by being around you when I can’t be yours.” You simply state, hurt evident in your voice before opening the door and leaving Jeff’s apartment without another word.
As the door shuts the smoke alarm goes off signaling the food you were cooking was burning, which only made Jeff’s heartbroken mood worse.

“Oh my god Y/N is here! I haven’t seen her in so long!” Zane yells to Jeff over the music before rushing over to you who just arrived to Todd’s birthday party. Ever since that night 8 months ago in Jeff’s apartment you started to distance yourself from Jeff and Jonah along with the Vlog Squad since they were always with either boy. However, you weren’t going to miss Todd’s birthday for the world. After all he was one of your closest friends.
The moment Jeff’s eyes fall onto your frame while you greet the first few people you know his heart rate began to increase. You looked good. Hell even better than you did 8 months ago if that was possible.
You made your rounds through the party, saying hi and having conversations with your friends that you haven’t seen in almost a year while the music filled the large house. Although, it was Todd’s birthday you were hesitant to come. After all you knew Jonah was going to be there and more importantly Jeff as well. But today wasn’t about you it was about Todd. With that being said you decided to swallow your pride and show up for one of your best friends.
However, you tried your best to avoid Jonah and Jeff for the night. Which was working out fine until you ran into Jonah. You guys hugged and caught up and to your surprise Jonah introduces his girlfriend, Francesca to you. Of course you were happy for him, he deserved to be happy, but the two started dating two months after that night at Jeff’s. That meant if you stayed around you and Jeff could’ve been a couple. Yet, you couldn’t help, but to feel hurt. Surely Jeff would’ve jumped on the opportunity to make you his now that Jonah was off the market, but you haven’t heard from the Staten Island stud since a week after what happened. Clearly Jeff’s feelings towards you weren’t as strong as you thought.
As the night continues Jeff builds up enough confidence to approach you. So that’s what he did. Feeling a tap on your shoulder you turn around from your conversation with Todd and are shocked to see Jeff standing in front of you.
“Oh my gosh Jeff! It’s been so long!” You exclaim before pulling the brunette in for a hug, fighting off the awkward tension. This was seemingly a friendly hug, but as you were in his embrace all of the feelings you thought you didn’t feel anymore came rushing back. Jeff felt the same from the moment he saw you walk in. And the familiar but nostalgic smell of your perfume only amplified it.
“How’ve you been?” He asks pulling away, but laughing at your reaction. You didn’t realize how much you missed his laugh until now.
“I’ve been pretty busy with school, but still good. What about you?” Jeff was happy to hear that you were still in school. After months of Jeff convincing you to chase your dreams you finally applied to a university to become a physiotherapist and got in, putting your influencer career on the back burner. He was proud of you for not giving into your fears of having a late start in your degree and quitting.
“I’ve been good as well. The guys and I have been pumping out barbershop episodes basically every week now.” By now Todd was now gone, talking to his other guests.
Although, both of you were telling the truth of what has been up lately neither of you delved into the fact your minds would always wander back to each other. Especially late at night when neither of you could fall asleep.
“How are ya liking school?” Jeff asks stepping a bit closer for you to hear him due to the loud music.Just as you were about to answer his question you feel arms wrap around your waist and a kiss being placed on your cheek.
Justin. Not your boyfriend, but not your friend either.
“Hey baby sorry that I’m late.”
As Jeff watched the guy that looks a bit like him display affection to you a pang of jealously and hurt hits him. Clearly your feelings for him weren’t as strong as Jeff thought they were.
You mumble a “hi” back to Justin and discreetly push him off of you. Suddenly you were all too aware of who you were standing in front of with your rebound by your side.
“Who’s this?” Justin asks pointing at Jeff then looking at you.
“Justin this is Jeff, a friend I haven’t seen in a while.” Another pang of hurt hits Jeff at being friendzoned. “And Jeff this is Justin.”
Jeff swallows the lump in his throat and cuts directly to the chase. “So are you guys a couple?”
You almost choke on your drink at Jeff’s boldness, but Justin answers his question before you could cough out a reply. “Nah, not yet man. Y/N wants to take things slow. Something about not wanting to get her hopes up if things turn sour.” Justin laughs.
Jeff looks at you knowing exactly why you want to take things slow with this guy. You didn’t want to be let down the way you did with Jeff. It was obvious you were still hurt and Jeff’s suspicions of that were proven by your avoidance from his analytical gaze.
An awkward silence falls upon you guys, but Justin doesn’t seem to acknowledge it as he was vibing out to the music. You and Jeff exchange awkward looks while you anxiously bite on the rim of your solo cup.
Just as you were to speak up to bid goodbye to Jeff and get away from the tension Erin comes running up to you. “Y/N it’s our song!” She yells, clearly intoxicated. Before you could protest what was about to happen she drags you over to an open spot in the crowded house to dance to Britney Spears, Toxic. Ultimately leaving Justin and Jeff alone.
As you danced to one of your favourite songs you were grateful that Erin pulled you away because your mind was starting to drift away from Jeff and the way his presence made you feel. The next thing you know the song was over, but you continued to dance with Erin to five other songs while Zane supplied shots for you two.
While each song passed you were oblivious to Jeff’s eyes on you. Justin was talking his ear off about the mixtape he was working on and quite frankly Jeff couldn’t give less of a shit. Every time Justin asked him a question Jeff would simply respond with vague answers, trying his best to suppress his emotions.
Seeing you after all of these months apart it made Jeff realize just how much he missed you. There was no denying he missed you from the moment you walked out of his apartment, but ever since then he tried his best to distract himself with creating. And it was working, but that was until now.
You continued to let loose occasionally glancing over to Jeff’s direction without realizing what you were doing. It wasn’t until you felt arms wrap around your waist that your dance moves come to a stop. You quickly turn around and smile while stumbling into Justin’s arms.
“Hey baby.” You say while wrapping your arms around Justin’s neck while continuing to sway to the music, the alcohol you drank flooding throughout your blood.
“I’m going to get a drink do you want anything?”
You simply nod your head as Mariah walks over to catch up with you and Justin walks away to find the kitchen. Your conversation with Mariah was going great until you felt someone place their hands on the small of your back.
“Excuse me.”
You turn to look and see the person was Jeff walking past you. He makes eye contact with you and you could’ve sworn time stopped in that moment, making you automatically sober up. His eyes were full of longing as well as hurt. Jeff doesn’t stop to talk to you. Instead he keeps on moving through the crowd of people to leave, your eyes yearning after him.
Your focus on the brunette is ultimately broken when Justin hands you a beer. You shake your head and turn back to your conversation with Mariah and introduce Justin to her. As you do this you miss Jeff turning to look back at you one last time, his heart breaking even more as he watches you grasp onto Justin’s arm while laughing loudly.
As he walks out of the party Jeff’s mind wanders to what you two could’ve been ultimately hurting himself more at the thought.
