Having so many backups heading into championship weekend I came up with a list of guys who lead there teams to the Superbowl who were back ups beginning of the season. 1971 Roger Staubach took over for Craig Morton. Led Cowboys to victory in Superbowl VI. 1974 Terry Bradshaw took over the show for the Steelers and won Superbowl IX. 1980 Jim Plunkett took over for Ken Stablerin 1980. Won Superbowl XV. 1986 Doug Williams took over for the Redskins and won Superbowl XXII. The Giants in 1990 lost Phil Simms and Jeff Hostetler led them to victory XXV. Kurt Warner took over in 2000. Greatest show on earth won the Superbowl XXXIV. Trent dilfer after taking over for Tony Banks in 2001. Won Superbowl XXXV. Last but not least prob the best ever Tom Brady took over for Drew Bledsoe and took the Patriots to victory XXXVi
