UNTIL THE BELL RINGS Lyrics (REQUEST)
CONTRIBUTE HERE

SONGWRITERS: Please refer to THIS MIX as a guide for the monologue’s timing.

This song "Until the Bell Rings" is moving along really nicely, and thanks to a new angle contributed by IAm1954, we now have more than just a love song coming from one person’s perspective; Now, it’s a duet, full of “will they / won’t they” drama.
The idea is: They both really like each other, and have gotten up the courage to tell the other at the same time. She sent him a note in class, and he sent her a text. Only, her phone is in her backpack and turned off, so she hasn’t gotten an alert...At the same time, her note to him is taking a L-O-N-G time to get across the room, passing from desk to desk (or something...To be determined). So, they’re BOTH waiting for an answer to the same question they’ve each asked each other, but neither is aware that the other has asked it...And that the answer is “Yes”. So they’re stuck waiting…
Debit72 gave us THIS GREAT BRIDGE that’s working nicely, and we’ve placed it into the song. And now, we need to finish the rest of the song’s lyrics.
==
There are TWO things we’re looking for:
1) Two lines for the guy’s part
We still have a couple of lines to fill for the guy’s part: Check out IAm1954’s mix HERE to hear how these parts work. The two lines we’re looking to fill still are in bold and italics in the lyrics below (although in the recording, you’ll note that he’s singing something different).
2) The Monologue
This section, coming out of the bridge, will be an instrumental bed (probably the verse chords), with a spoken vocal, rather than sung. The lines don’t have to fit tightly rhythmically, but they should have some sense of balance in their phrasing: “Line, pause...Line, pause...etc). It probably shouldn’t be too dense with words...More flowing and low-key.
Since the guy and girl are trading lines throughout the song, they should probably continue doing it in this monologue section, too. Maybe she takes the first half, then he takes the second? Or maybe they continue to trade line by line?
A couple of things to consider: Usually, these things are delivered by the vocalist with a pensive, kinda stoic and solemn mood; Definitely an area for a bit of (overripe?) drama here. This whole song is just a bit cheeky, so this section is a good place to highlight that...Without being outright silly, though. Also, the words should mostly echo the song’s established themes, instead of adding much in the way of new ideas or left turns. Maybe it recounts their past brushes with each other? Or further describing the things they like about each other? Or each one’s fear (or hope) that the other will say no (or yes)?
Have at it, and once we’ve got the song written, we’ll be moving on to making the RECording!

Before The Bell Rings Lyrics
Don't let the teacher see This note I've passed to you from me But in this crumpled paper square I tell you how I really care
(Her) How I like you so (Him) Oh, how I like her so (Her) Do you like me back, check yes or no (Him) I sent you a text to let you know (Her) Do you even that know I exist And how i'm dreaming of your kiss? And I'm tangled in my heartstrings (Him) I’m staring at my phone screen (Both Together?) Waiting here until the bell rings
(Her) I love the way you walk
(Him) (new backing vocal line)
(Her) And the way I laugh when you talk
(Him) (new backing vocal line)
(Her) I see how wonderful you really are More than just a football star And I'm tangled in my heartstrings (Him) I’m staring at my phone screen (Both Together?) Waiting here until the bell rings
Bridge
(Her) Freshman year I got a crush (Him) Sophomore year you made me blush (Her) Junior year I caught your glance (Both Together?) But senior year I'm gonna take a chance
16 BARS MONOLOGUE VERSE. CAN BE CUT IN HALF, DOWN TO 8 BARS(?)
(Her) How I like you so Do you like me back, check yes or no, and I'm tangled in my heartstrings (Him) I’m staring at my phone screen (Both) Waiting here until the bell rings… (Her) tangled in my heartstrings (Him) I’m staring at my phone screen (Both) Waiting here until the bell rings… (Her) tangled in my heartstrings (Him) I’m staring at my phone screen (Both) Waiting here until the bell rings… (Her) tangled in my heartstrings (Him) I’m staring at my phone screen (Both) Waiting here until the bell rings...

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS!
For our NUMBER ONE Cold Open collab, we want to create a musical landscape during the countdown that introduces our first TV Show Episode.
==
Here's how you can contribute:
MUSICIANS:
We need some *one-shot* type sounds for our first Cold Open. I'm looking for music pieces, as opposed to sounds. Specifically, short snippets (like, really...2 seconds or so) ...A single phrase, or a chord or strike, or a piece to isolate from a longer mix. We're looking for unconventional treatments, like stutters, spins, oddly-looped phrases, so maybe try playing something and then messing with it with software or effects trickery...But remember, none of them will be more than parts of a quilt or mosaic, little bits making up a whole.
Please upload your REsults to this collab. If you've got layers, upload the layers as well as a mix. If you're REsourcing a longer mix from the site, make a note of the time(s) the parts you're referring to come in.
Thanks, all!

My body falls thrall to the hypnotic lines it hears...
A burden of beauty is no burden at all,
And there’s no other reason that I’d rather fall"
CALLING ALL MUSICIANS: COME WORK W/ US ON OUR NEW SONG! :oD
We're expanding this new track "Insider/Outsider" for the "RE: Outsiders" collaboration & there are lots of ways Musicians can contribute:
BEAT MAKERS: Add your own beat to the remix.
GUITARISTS: Play some Rhythm Guitar over the Chorus or lay down some chunky Guitar bursts here & there.
FEMALE VOCALISTS: Lend your voice to the Back-Up Harmony.
SYNTH MUSICIANS: Some '80s electro sounds could really work in this song.
HORN PLAYERS: While this track is already sounding old school as is, let's see if some Horns would lend themselves to the track.
