I love that the excuse “sorry I thought my camera was off” is a sufficient apology, like pleasuring himself during a professional meeting was not the “bad” part. He’s sorry he got caught. If this happened with a Fox News analyst it would have made headlines for decades but CNN is a more forgiving, kind network that gives second chances.

Finished Jeffrey Toobin’s book “The People v. O.J. Simpson”.

I don’t need to tell you what it’s about. (You can also watch Ezra Edelman’s Oscar-winning documentary “O.J.: Made in America” if you don’t have the courage to read a lengthy book.)

I did both and I’m glad I did because the book provides much information you can’t squeeze into a documentary - even one that takes almost 8 hour.

This much is clear: the posturing of Simpson’s legal team was mendacious, hypocritical and sick down to the last detail.

As a result, the attorneys of O.J.’s “Dream Team” were no longer on speaking terms as the trial progressed and Cochran’s law firm did not prosper or pick up new clients. In fact, Johnnie Cockroach virtually abandoned his practice 15 months after the verdict. Suits me fine!
